Description
Exceptionally low mileage, all the luxury amenities, and true American style This 1979 Cadillac Coupe DeVille offers far more than just a time capsule classic at an obtainable price.
This car has averaged less than 550 miles annually. It means we could have put more miles on it if we just made a roundtrip from our showroom to cruise Miami Beach only once a year! That kind of use combined with nice preservation creates the time capsule you see today. The Atlantis Aqua paint is believed to be original to the car, and it has a beautiful gloss and shine. Plus, when you spend a sunny Saturday cruising, the vinyl half-roof shows off its distinctive but coordinated appearance. Overall, this coupe has matured into a stylish reputation in the market where it looks authentic right down to the clean plastic fender endcaps (not many survived on these Caddys.) It has all the right touches of chrome, from the wide grille up front, to the wire wheel cover, to the taillights that stick out just enough as a tribute to the legendary Cadillac tailfin.
If you liked the aqua exterior, the leather interior is exactly what you want inside. It gives this car a very well-coordinated feeling inside and out. After all, with the paint, roof, and interior, this is a triple-aqua car (who else do you know can say that?) More than just a retro-cool feeling, this delivers on proper Cadillac luxury. Low mileage means little seat time, and it power adjusts to your ideal driving position. Plus, there's power windows, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, and power locks. This is so period correct that you might need a few moments to understand how to operate the factory 8-track player that's still part of the AM/FM stereo! One nice upgrade is the air conditioner has been switched to R-134a so you can service it with ease. Just like any good Cadillac, it has space for six people, but the fold-down armrests provide individual comfort. And the trunk is large enough to carry the whole foursome's golf clubs.
Under the hood is the monstrous 425 cubic-inch V8 motor with a four-barrel carburetor, and it all looks as honest as the day it left the Detroit factory. In fact, this clean motor is believed to be original to the car. And the way it fires up today is the sign or proper respect and care over the decades. Emissions regulations of that era had taken out some of the horsepower, but this Caddy is quick off the stoplights, because it makes enough torque to rival the modern full-size Cadillacs. The cruising attitude is heightened by a smooth-shifting three-speed automatic transmission, supple suspension, power steering, and power brakes with discs up front.
Complete with owner's manual, when a Cadillac survives as well as this one, the reputation for elegance only grows. It's time to pick up this proud long-haul cruiser while the price is still so affordable. Call today!!!
