1981 Cadillac Coupe deVille, resto-mod, 2013 Silverado engine & 4L60e trans

1981 Cadillac Coupe DeVille with 58,000 actual miles (about 7,000 miles on resto-mod). It started as a very clean, original car that was driven less than 1500 miles per year and was always garaged and maintained meticulously by the previous owner. Paint & body repair was done as needed (never anything serious). THE BUMPER FILLERS HAVE ALL BEEN REPLACED with ABS reproduction parts. The bumpers, grill and trim are original and in excellent condition. The vinyl top is in very good condition (stitching is excellent and there are no signs of cracking or of rust under the vinyl). The interior is excellent right down to the original carpets and Cadillac carpet mats. There are a couple of minor cracks in the dash pad, but a very nice replacement is included with the sale. The Automatic Climate control works as it should as do the power potions etc.
A 2013 Silverado 2500, 6.0, engine and a 2013 Silverado 1500 4L60e transmission, both with 3,000 miles were installed along with the 2500 ECU & wire harness that was modified and tuned for this application. The project was done by a shop specializing in LS swaps (this was their 3rd for me) and tuned by a dyno shop that specializes in GM LS engine tuning. The exhaust is stainless steel, has dual high flow "cats" and Walker Quiet Flow mufflers. It sounds healthy but not obnoxious. It should pass emissions anywhere.
Because the horse power was going to triple the entire chassis was rebuilt with new or rebuilt parts. 96 Impala SS brake, steering and suspension components were used through out. The tires are American Classic 235 x 75 x 15 wide white walls and have about 5000 miles use.
This car is fully debugged, smooth, fast, comfortable, reliable and economical, If driven sensibly it will get 22 MPG on regular gas. It was built to look completely original inside and outside and stay Cadillac in character. It is a hit at the shows & cruise-ins and has received several trophies including "Steve Magnante's Choice" (Mr. Date Code at Barrett Jackson Auctions) at the Brimfield MA show several years ago.
