Description
Up for sale is my 1957 Sedan Deville Hardtop (pillarless) car. It is ready to go. It was in California until 2009 and has never seen salt or snow. Immaculate underneath. I would like to see the new owner keep this classic unpainted as it took 57 years to accomplish this rustic yet stunning look (original paint but the odd spots were sprayed in sometime in it's early history). Buy it on it's champagne year!
- Power Windows
- Power Seat
- Power Antenna
- Power Brakes
- Power Steering
- Power Trunk with the original soft close latch (works but is wired incorrectly)
- Autronic Eye (senses oncoming lights and automatically switches off your highbeams, then turns them back on when they pass)
- RetroSound Model Two head unit - Bluetooth audio, handsfree calling, aux and usb imputs (comes with the original radio which wasn't working when I got the car)
- New Coker Classic tires (less than 1000km's on them, cost over $3000 for the set)
- Original hubcaps with a full spare including the hubcap and jack.
- 109 000 miles
- Original 365 engine was replaced by the dealer in 1961 with the new 390 and it runs like a champ.
- Stainless steel dual exhaust
- New carpet, but the seats are original.
Had the 4-Speed transmission rebuilt this year and upgraded the transmission oil cooler, MSD ignition for fuel economy as the points ignition was less than optimal, added an overflow tank to the rad so it does not need constant coolant level monitoring as that was not invented yet in 1957, added seat belts (it did not come on the car so you cannot get a ticket for not wearing them),
Comes with a brand new rear bumper and right quarter panel chrome mouldings, rubbers and other parts.
This car really is in great shape, all of the doors open and close like it was brand new.
All it needs is the windsheild wiper motor to be rebuilt (uses vaccuum), or install an electric one.
Come and see it, you will not be disapointed, they do not overbuild cars like this anymore! This thing is awesome to drive!
Sadly I have to part with this to pursue a career in racing
