Description
1968 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham - Only 63K Original Miles
I am the 3rd owner of this garage kept 4 door classic. It has a 472cubic V8 engine rated at 375 hp, a turbo hydramatic transmission - withonly 62,546 original miles.I purchased this vehicle in 2005 withunder 61K miles from a retired police officer; the glove box even hasthe Cadillac Salesman's business card from the 2nd owner from themid-70's.The upholstery has been professionally updated including seats, doors, headliner, & carpet. This car has been garage kept sincepurchased (including previous owner), so the dash is perfect, no cracksor peeling - all original.
The Cadillac also includes a customheadliner for the 40" x 55" three-fold sliding ragtop. The ragtop wasinstalled by the manufacturer, Street Beat. The clock does not work& the rear passenger window does not roll down from the driver'sseat, but works sitting in the back seat. All the wires have beenchecked & my guess is one of the window switch's needs to berebuilt.I've had all the necessary work performed to the engine & brakingsystem. Some of the work performed includes: new spark plugs &wires, electronic igniter, distributor cap, electronic distributor coil, oil & filter, rebuilt carburetor, new battery, left & rightrear wheel cylinders, left & right calipers, brake pads, left &right brake line hose, wheel seals, thermostat, PCV valve, brake fluid, vacuum hose, flushed radiator, & new valve cover gasket.
TheAC system is complete & I was told the condenser needs to berebuilt or converted to current R134A.The stereo system consists of matching Kenwood amplifiers & PolkAudio speakers. The entire system is controlled with an Eclipse CDNavigation head unit & secured with a Clifford alarm w/motiondetector & hood pin switch. This sounds system & alarm wasprofessionally installed, as evident with all receipts included w/saleof vehicle.Being a 40 year classic, there are some minor dents & scratches. Theprevious owner had put the two dents at the ends of the car-driversside rear fin & passenger side front chrome bumper (see pictures).
Paintstill shines as shown but its just not a $35k vehicle. There is also BFGoodrich Silvertown's 235/70/15 which includes theclassic 3" white walls. I've only driven 100 miles on these tires whichincluded a 4 wheel alignment. In addition to the Silvertown whitewalls, Ialso purchased a new 225/70/15 all-season spare tire for the trunk. I have the receipts for all of the work & accessories installed onthis vehicle that will be provided with the sale of vehicle.I will behappy to work with you & your shipping company if need be.Buyer isresponsible for all shipping costs.Has been appraised by all my insurance carriers for $20,000 in its current condition.
Sellingit because it's too large for my garage. Wife wants it gone and iswilling to have me get a smaller vehicle. Open to trades for a Chevy or GMC late 70's Truck.
