Description

This 1949 fleetwood has been in
My family for the past 35 years. My grandfather originally owned it. Around the year 2000 my grandfather a mechanic of 60 years did a full body restoration and a complete original rebuild of the motor with new pistons, rings, and a complete valve job. This was his baby for many years. Most items are original on this Cad except my it did not come with power steering and my grandfather installed power steering from a 59 cad. He also removed the 2 barrel carb and installed a 4 barrel carb. I still have the original carb and manifold if you want to return it to original. He also changed all electrical from 6 volt to 12 volt. As you can see the car is due for a paint job. I contemplated painting the car but then my asking price would go up 5-7 k. It has newer front and back seats. It will need a new headliner as it was original and has not help up. The engine runs excellent and the automatic transmission works well. It will start up with one push of the starter no matter how long it has sat. Mileage is unknown. But I can tell you that since my grandfather rebuilt it, the car has only been driven to shows and on special occasions. I have Trialered it when ever we went to a car show to preserve the motor. My bank valued this car 6 years ago at $22,000 6 years ago when I used it for colateral to make a purchase. I have since paid that off and the title is clear in my name without any Liens. Someone will get a awesome deal with this cad. A good paint job and headliner and this Cad will be show ready. I have kept my grandpas car for years because of sentimental value. I realize it was his hobby and not mine.
