Description
1937 LaSalle Opera Coupe. (A brief History of original owner at end of description) Exterior body restored by Gill Clifford Auto Body in 1975. Gill was the best local body man who was in business from 1938 to 1978. He used only lead for filler and painted with laquer paint. The LaSalle needed very little repair since it was 98% rust free. The engine was also rebuilt at the same time. Rechromed bumpers. Chrome and stainless in great shape. Current things rebuilt or replaced: Rebuilt Carburetor. Replaced hoses. New muffler. Runs great, shifts smooth. Brakes work well. The interior is original. No holes or tears in headliner. Door panel drivers side bottom loose. Front seat material missing. (see picture) Weather stripping around wing windows and window channel are original. Front and back windows are new and have new weather stripping. Running board rubber is original. Lester tires. Full beauty ring hubcaps. (some chrome pealing off one) Radio only humms. Gas gauge stuck on full. All other gauges work. Lights work. One very small touch up paint on drivers cowl. This is a very nice driving car, but is not a show car. (price will reflect that) It has not been driven very much since 2000. Has always been in dry heated storage. There is no rust what so ever in the LaSalle. Paint still shows well. Please feel free to e-mail more more information. There is a $500 deposit to pay-pal within 24 hours. Full payment within 10 days. If you don't live close or can't have it shipped in winter. We can make arrangements to pick up at a later date if paid in full. (A Brief History Of Original Owner.) Pacific Northwest famous Organist Andy Crow. The Late Andy Crow (google his name for more information) who was well known up and down the Westcoast and world wide. Played concerts with other famous organists like, Ted Worth, Virgil Fox, and Liberace. Andy bought the LaSalle in Portland Oregon. April 1966. Restored it in 1975 and drove it till 2000.
