Description
A great project well on its way to becoming a beautiful designed car from every angle. These are quite rare and much sought after.
I recently purchased this 1949 Cadillac Series 62 Sedanette because I thought it would be a great project for me. But, I soon realized that, at my age (79), it was more than I wanted to get involved with. The car lacks an engine and transmission. It is almost ready for the painting process. The only body work needed is the rust repair in the trunk. The interior is complete as well as all the chrome plating (I would estimate that those two items would have cost about 12K). The car also needs new glass (except for rear glass), gas tank and steering wheel. As close as I can tell, most other parts are included, but not all. The car has been rewired for 12 volt system but needs to be completed. I envisioned a dark cherry paint color, which would be a good compliment to the interior color.
