Description
Rare in Tasmania. A very neat & tidy 1976 Cadillac Seville.
Matching engine & chassis numbers.
A small cadillac based on a Chev chassis, rear wheel drive, 350 Oldsmobile engine & Rolls Royce roof which is all original on this model.
Same length as a Statesman or Fairlane. - so not a real big car.
This model was the 2nd most expensive sedan in the USA at the time.(1975/76)
Imported to Australia , converted to right hand drive by chappel Engineering(with plate) & sold new in Australia.
Believed to have been owned by WA mining magnate - Lang Hancock.
Comes with original handbook, body & mechanical manuals & sales brochure.
Car has gold plated ignition, door & boot keys & comes with a spare set as well.
All electric windows, seats, antenna, central locking etc.
No original radio - it has been fitted with a radio/CD player.
Non standard parts are Mooneye temperature & oil pressure gauges, Mooneye tacho, Momo leather steering wheel & mounting boss to accommodate the telescopic steering column, chrome air cleaner & big 17" mag wheels which are to the pattern of original Holden Monaro GTS wheels. 8" on the front & 10" on the rear which are fitted with Mickey Thompson Street Comp tyres which are as new.
Tinted windows.
Big single exhaust with small megaphone at the rear - not loud, just a nice rumble.
Everything works except the cruise control & the air-conditioning unit needs re-gassing as there was a loose hose.
Painted & clean underneath the car & under the bonnet.
Recently had new wheels & tyres, wheel alignment, window tint, shockers, steering damper, hoses, belts, battery, electronic distributor, brake pads, reconditioned carburettor & alternator.
Can also come with original parts & spare parts including, steering wheel, wheels with trims & white wall tyres, air cleaner, Distributor, spare tail lights, headlights, light rims & buckets, vacuum modules, heater parts, interior trim etc. etc.
Car is on Tasmanian SI rego, Sold unregistered to mainland buyer but I will have it re-inspected & put on full rego for Tasmanian buyer
This car had a restoration around 10 years ago costing around $30,000. & only travelled around 6500 miles since.
Has some small blemishes & a few rust bubbles at the front of the roof which havn't got any bigger in the last few years. This could be fixed without too much cost.
Have a good look at the photos which I took Jan. 07/16.
All in all, this is a very good car & rare being right hand drive.
Recently used for a school leavers function - would be good for weddings as well.
