Description
The Chevrolet Avalanche is the "Lexus Pickup" in my opinion - you will be hard pressed to find another pickup (or even many cars, vans, suburbans, etc) with as comfortable a ride as the Avalanche. If you haven't driven or ridden in one, give one a test drive!
V8 Flex Fuel, 5.3 L, Crew Cab, Cloth Upholstery, Excellent Condition, Non-Smoking, Carfax Report available showing no issues.
All oil changes, and majority of other vehicle work (brakes, new tires, etc) were handled by the local Chevrolet Dealership except for front brake pads replaced by a garage in Franklin, Tennessee and a new battery in early June from Auto Zone. The local Chevrolet Dealership completed a $5,200 major overhaul on the engine based on a GM Technical Service Bulletin (a level just below a recall since the excessive oil consumption would not cause a safety issue). The Service Manager said this 5.3 L aluminum block engine was assembled in Mexico and the quality of the parts was not as high as needed to be. The overhaul used parts made in Canada (pistons, rings, camshaft, lifters, etc). The Service Manager said this engine now after the overhaul should be good for 300,000 miles. I can provide the name of the dealership and the service manager for interested bidders.
