Description

Owner recently passed away. He purchased the car in 2008. He was obsessive on keeping his pride and joy immaculately clean underneath, inside and out. It shows in the photos. It was kept in a climate controlled garage out of the sun and out of the weather. It was never driven in the rain nor was it raced. The owner did not smoke and there is no evidence of anyone smoking in the car. The car looks good and sounds better. I am a car guy and I'm helping the family find a new home for his car. I put the car up on a lift and thoroughly examined the whole car. I wish to be up front and honest in my observations:
The frame and undercarriage is VERY clean no fluid blow back. It was undercoated so I ice-picked floor pans, trunk area looking for soft spots and found none. I checked all around the wheel openings- they're clean no rust not even any dirt build up. See photos
Engine compartment is clean-no discoloration, grease or oil ANYWHERE Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor, ceramic coated headers, huge aluminium radiator, and lots of chrome.
Three speed automatic transmission Column shfter
Electrical wiring was neatly and thoughtfully replaced
Body is straight-no waves or orange peal with only two issues- see below
Entire interior is blue-gray velour. It is clean showing no signs of wear and is looks great with the car's gunmetal blue base color. It has a matching leather wrapped banjo steering wheel
The instrument cluster is by Classic Instruments The dash is glossy and the same base color The radio is an aftermarket radio/cassette The clock is original but not working (photos)
All of the chrome is in excellent condition-no scratches or pits Bumpers are beautiful and gaped nicely All stainless is highly polished-no dents or dings
Glass is clear-no chips or scratches Windows roll freely Vent windows are etched in a flowered pattern
Weather stripping is like new
Tires/Wheels: American Racing wheels with hardly used Big O 245/60R15 tires
Trunk is clean, solid and carpeted
Doors open and close smoothly BUT passenger door will not open from the outside and drivers door will not open from the inside-the hardware needs fixing/replaced
The heater/defroster is not plumbed to the engine.
The left front fender needs to be reset because the gap between hood and door is 5/8" (see photo) No collision damage is apparent
Lower right corner of trunk gap is not even (see photo)
There is a crack in the paint in lower right quarter-panel and one just below hood ornament (see photos)
THIS DESIRABLE 1956 CHEVY 210 STARTS RIGHT UP, IDLES NICELY, HAS A GREAT EXHAUST TONE, POWERFUL AND IS A PLEASURE TO DRIVE GATHERING HIGH FIVES AND THUMBS UP ANYTIME/ANYWHERE IT IS DRIVEN. IT IS HOPED BY THE FAMILY IT WILL CONTINUE ON TO BE YOUR PRIDE AND JOY TO DRIVE AND SHOW.
