Description
1955 Bel air custom, very high show quality body off restoration, with appx 1976 miles since completion, whether you just want to cruise, or compete in high level show competition this custom will fit the bill. From the finished out engine compartment to the trunk there was no cutting corners, or expense spared when it came to building this unique ride. The fit and finish of all the body modifications, and quality of the paint finish is top shelf. Power comes from a 405 hp zz4 tuned port fuel injected small block, poweris delivered to a 12 bolt Gm rear end through a 700r4 4 spd overdrive transmission, making highway cruising at 70 mph a breeze. It rides on a custom chassis with Hotchkiss independent front tubular suspension and stabilizer bar with rear leaf springs , relocated outside the frame with stabilizer bars, supplemented with full Airtech air ride control front and rear, 4 wheel disc brakes control the stopping. All wiring and plumbing has been hidden to provide a finished look. The frame and bottom of the car has been finished with the same care as the exterior. The interior of the car is dressed with six way Cadillac bucket seats in the front, with custom buckets in the back, with a full length console front to rear, housing all controls, with the alpine radio / cd /stereo and two Ac vents hidden in the front. The interior is wrapped in High quality leather with custom stainless steel accents and radio grills. The car is equipped with Vintage air conditioning, electric doors, windows, trunk, and custom rear antenna. All heat/Ac vents and radio are hidden out of site when not in use, all seat and window controls are on the inboard side of the seats to keep the concealed concept alive, all wiring to the doors and lighting are hidden in the hinges. The custom metal work in the engine compartment is second to none, witha custom air bonnet and all stainless hardware. Custom hood springs are kept out of sight. Modifications on the exterior, include smoothed door handles, trunk and hood emblems, wing windows removed, custom glass, custom wagon bumper in rear, tucked bumpers with custom bumper guards front and rear. All stainless and brightwork are excellent, The trunk area is finished to match the rest of the car, the air system, stereo amplifier, and battery are stored in a closed compartment with easy access. Remote power cutoff switch and remote battery post under rear wheel well for easy access, and off season battery maintenance. I have owned the car since 2015, at which point there were 95 miles on it. The previous owner chose to build, show and trailer the car, I have since driven the car and sorted out any problems that are typical with a complete build. the car currently has appx. 1975 miles on the build and is very reliable. The car is not flawless, but what wear that is on it is very minor, cars like this need to be selectively driven, cause their kool. This car will sell at less than 50% of what it cost to build, so its a pretty good value for the high quality ride. Thanks for looking Question call Bob 209-595-1534
