Description
Up for sale is a1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer. With only 100 miles on a freshly rebuild 350 engine.
Check out the new pictures I have included for the second round. While trying to also sell this nice K5 locally, I also have to try eBay with different options, That is, buy it for the price listed OBO.
Notice that all windows were cleaned, all that old glass tint was removed. Also, the dashboard was replaced with a brand new one. the cut off radio area was covered with a diamond plate with a blue Chevy emblem that really enhaces the dash area. I will include the new rocker for the driver side.
This Blazer was converted from automatic to a 4 speed Standard transmission. This is what the previous owner told me. It was done with the intention of aquiring a better traction during those hunting trips or off road driving. It has the same 4 speed transmission with the 205 transfer case as if it was done originally from the donor K5 and like factory assembly. It has the Dana 44 with lockout hubs and a 12 bolt rear end differential. It has a 6 inch lift kit.. it rides on 33 tires.
I installed a remanufactured power steering gear box with new hoses. A Pittman arm or steering arm was installed to maintain the correct geometry on the steering. It has standard drum brakes in the front and rear with a new master cylinder and power brakes booster and braided brake lines in the front.
The rear drive line is new and professionally balanced with new universal u joints. The front one was replaced about a year ago.
A new steel gas tank was installed with new float and hoses. The fuel gauge is not working at this time. I'm going to check the wiring. The fuel pump plus a good quality in line fuel filter were also replaced. I also replaced the starter/selenoid with a new unit.
A new HEI distribuitor and wiring for the ignition system replaced the old one. A new water pump was installed and an electric fan helps keep the engine cool.
I Also replaced the original radiator with a 3 core aluminum one.
The front seats, bench seat and side rear panels were reupholstered
This Blazer has the original paint (ochre yellow) . With a nice patina look. It will need new outer rockers on both sides. That's about the only major rust problem. All glass is in good shape. The fiberglass top needs some TLC. It has a sealed section that was cutoff at one time. The hatch is also in need of some fiberglass repairs.
I'm trying to give a good description of my K5, but "PLEASE LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PICTURES, IT WILL HELP YOU DECIDE.. THE PICTURES ARE A MAJOR PART AND THE BEST DESCRIPTION I CAN GIVE TO YOU. If you would like to call me to find out more about the Blazer, just send me a text message and I will call asap.
