Description

!!!!1972 CHEVROLET K5 BLAZER!!!
Up for auction is this highly desirable 72 K5 Blazer!! I found this K5 stashed away in a garage were it had been for 25yrs with the previous owner. All original paint and body panels!! Hard to find them like this anymore. The K5 was used for the first 18yrs as a daily driver and over the past 6yrs became a summer toy as values started rising on first generation Blazers. The previous owner had a new 350 with 1.94 heads and a RV cam installed about 5yrs ago. The mileage is a little over 14k now. The motor has a Edelbrock performer intake and a Edelbrock 625cfm carb as well as a HEI distributor. the transmission is a TH350 automatic with a shift kit. Has the original transfer case and differentials. Has headers and dual exhaust. The Blazer runs and drives great. Has a 4inch lift kit and brand new 35.12.5 tires on Factory style rally rims. The rig runs and drives great. Has power steering with a new steering box, power disc brakes. All new brakes!! Everything works as it should on this rig. Even has a later model G.M rear heater set up for those cold months when you still want to cruise the old girl around!! The Blazer also retains its hard to find original seats and console. They have been recovered at some point and need to be taken back to there original parchment color with the saddle scroll in my opinion. The body is very solid for it's age. Probably did the rig a lot of justice being parked in a garage for the majority of it's life. The floors, rockers, rocker boxes, rear wheel wells ,windshield frame, rear floors, quarter panels, tailgate ect are all very solid. The lower doors will need to be repaired or replaced. Seems that the door seals failed and led to rust in the bottom of the doors. The crazy thing is that it did not take out the rocker panels? Not even pin holes!! There is a little right behind the door as well on the lower front of the quarter panel on the passenger side you can see in the pics. Other then that the only other place is on the lower front of the passenger side front fender. Not bad at all for a Northwest rig that still wears all it's original paint and body panels! The top is in good shape as well. Has some a small crack starting by one of the hatch hinges. everything still works as it should. Even the dome lights work. If you have been in the market for a first generation K5 Blazer you know how the prices are going thru the roof and they are getting harder and harder to find. Specially the 71-72's!! If you have been wanting a K5 like this and don't want to break the bank you might want to check this one out! You can literally drive this one daily and fix it up as you go! I drive it all the time and will be until it sells!
