1985 Chevrolet C-10

I recently purchased this truck from our neighbor, a widow who was moving to an apt. Her husband bought the truck in1986 from his brother who worked for GM and special ordered the truck off the Janesville WI assembly line. The color was special order. The owner said it was one of only 300 with the "Colorado" color. It has heavy duty shocks and springs and a 2.73 ratio rear axle.
The owner said the truck was always garaged and not driven in winter. There is surface rust in spots but no rust holes. The underside is very clean. The seat was always covered and interior is nearly perfect, including the dash and floor liner/mats.The bed and tailgate has a liner and it's very clean underneath. The truck has always been toppered. She said the truck was never in any accident. There is a larger, shallow dent in rear fender - see pic. Could probably be popped out.
The engine starts right up and runs smoothly. The truck shifts and drives smoothly - I have driven it on highways and the freeway. Tires are pretty new and seems they only have a few thousand miles on them. The owner said the only mechanical work done was a new water pump some years ago. She said the oil was changed regularly. I changed the oil and filter and it looked good, was not black. The oil plug had a droplet of oil hanging & the underside of the oil pan was a bit oil covered. Battery looks pretty new.
