Description

1962 Chevy C20 Rat Rod/Hot Rod. Truck starts runs and drives very well at all speeds. Rust is usually pretty bad on these trucks, but this one is not bad at all. A quarter size hole in the corner of the floor on both sides (See pic.). Rocker on passenger side has some rust (See pic.) and a little bubbling behind the right front wheel. There are 2 dents (and of course some dings)- one is on the front of the hood across the drivers side blinker (see pic) and the other is on the right rear of the bed near the tail light (see pic). Previous owner had started sanding it down and doing some Rat Rod type things (metal thermos for the radiator overflow, custom gauge panel, custom switch for lights, wipers, push button starter, kill switch etc. see all in the pics) He also started doing the headliner in license plates. Pretty cool. As I was sanding and doing some light painting to stop surface rust, a friend mentioned I should leave the body sanded and preserve the patina. It has 5 colors (metal, turquoise, yellow, purple and black). It was originally Crystal Turquoise or Glenwood Green. It became a company truck and was painted yellow and purple. The transmission is a standard 4 speed with granny gear. It has a newer (meaning less than 2 years) Edelbrock Carb, Edelbrock Air cleaner and exhaust from the mufflers back, aluminum radiator, alternator and wiring harness. The wiring was incomplete so I have been tracing where all the wires go and labeling them. Lights work, dash lights work, wipers work. The bed has a 4' by 8' piece of plywood. The newer temp, oil and volt gauges all work. The newer gas gauge is not compatible with the new sending unit I installed in the tank. I just hooked it up to the original gauge. I was told the engine is a 1958 Chevy 348 but I believe it to be a 1958 Chevy 283. I have a clear WA title. I can store the truck for up to 14 days. After that storage will apply. Just contact me and we can easily work something out. I will assist in anyway I can with loading, but it is your responsibility to set all the shipping. Reason I am selling is I am getting bored with this project. I like to take on classics and get them running. Once I do that, I move onto the next one because I am not very good at body work yet. This way I get to drive a different classic every year. Even though I already have my next project, I am open to trades. I reserve the right to end the auction early. Thanks for looking.
