1962 Chevrolet C-10 Stepside Street Rod.Once a dedicated drag truck, now an amazing Street Rod.
It;s not an old farm truck, it's not a custom RestoMod, it's not a RatRod.
It's somewhere in the middle.
At first it looks like just an old pickup, and then you notice there's a whole lot more going on.
It's even got a little of that rebel spirit you see in ratrods.
Starting with the Plumb Crazy Purple paint - it bothers some of both - Chevy people AND Mopar people.
But they get over it when they see the whole package.
The interior is painted with the matte version of the same paint.
There is a digital dash and toggle system, but keeps alot of the character of an old truck.
The engine is a 383 Stroker by Smeding Performance.
425+ HorsePower.
Bulletproof TH400 Automatic Transmission with a Lokar floor shifter.
4-link rear suspension with coil-overs.
Wilwood disc brakes all the way around.
Aluminum Weld ProStar wheels all the way around.
Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires all the way around.
31x18.50-15LT tires on the back.
4.11 Posi rear end.
Tubbed.
Full roll cage.
The bed of the truck can't be used as a truck bed - due to the roll cage, fuel cell, wheel tubs, battery.
The bed does have a soft tonneau cover..
I don't drive it very much - but when I do, people go nuts !!!
It;s completely street legal - everything works - lights, wipers, horn.
It;s pretty loud, maybe too loud. It has basically a straight pipe exhaust - that should maybe be upgraded.
If you're looking for something to drive across country - this probably isn't the truck for you.
If you want to have a blast at car shows - and have something you don't see every day - this may be the truck for you !!!
