Description
1978 Chevrolet C-10 Custom Deluxe. I purchased this truck a couple years ago from the son of the original owner in Redding California. My original plan was for my teenage daughter to drive it but she didn't feel comfortable with the heavy clutch. Kids these days.
According to the son of the original owner, the engine was replaced a couple years ago with a new 5.7 liter/ 350 cubic inch GM crate engine from a dealership in Redding California. It was also repainted with a Corvette blue color years ago but the clear coat is peeling which gives it a nice patina.
Odometer reads 57,566 but I'm sure it's actually 157,566.
Pros:
Power steering/ power brakes (disc in front)/ Vintage Air air conditioning/ 4 speed manual transmission (rare)/ polished alloy wheels/ recently covered bench seat/ nice rumble from the aftermarket muffler/ passed CA Smog testing/ all accessories work/ nice driving old school head turner
Cons:
Some very minor oil leaks/ gage lights inoperative/ cracked dash pad/ driver window seal failing/ tires have lots of tread but are old
Overall this is a nice example of a square body truck that has spent its whole life in California. It makes a nice cruiser or would be a really nice place to start a custom build.
Feel free to contact me with questions and thanks for looking.
