PERFECT FOR A RESTO-MOD, PUT 20-30K INTO IT, SELL IT FOR 140K AT THE NEXT BIG AUCTION
IT'S HARD TO PROVE IT'S A REAL Z-28 WITH THE ORIGINAL MOTOR GONE AND MANY OTHER MODS WITH IT'S EXTENSIVE TIME AS A RACE CAR. NO MATTER WHAT, THIS CAR IS PRICED EXTREMELY CHEAP TO MOVE FAST - HOLIDAY BLOWOUT SALE 1!!
1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28, Los Angeles built, real deal Z-28, 4-speed, factory Z-28 quick ratio power steering, tilt wheel, power disc brakes-excellent condition, original 2-piece front rotors in excellent condition, all original body panels including the GM cowl hood, very rare to still have all the original body parts & they all line up & open-close great, emergency brake still works too-very rare, factory Endura front bumper, code 76 Daytona Yellow, code 712 black deluxe interior, non-original big block 396, Muncie 4-speed-code 3831704, 12 bolt 4.10 posi, axle cose QL 12206, vinyl top is in great shape, there is a few bubbles underneath it, runs-looks-drives awesome, light rust on the drivers side rear quarter, paint has had some touch ups-etc., looks like brake fluid stained some of the paint up near where you put the fluid in, there was a slot cut for a fuel cell in the trunk-can be repaired, there is also couple quarter size rust holes in the trunk, the rest of the car is super solid, radio is gone, gas gauge not working, headliner needs replacing, some seat tears, front end has polygraphite bushings, ball joints & alignment were done some time ago too, has Competition Engineering traction bars, it did spend a lot of time on the drag strip, has a new radiatior-fan-distruibutor-wires-battery-ignition-hoses-belts, it's a super solid car that starts right up every time & and is a blast to drive, nothing like a big block 4-speed !!, the prices on these cars are going through the roof, don't miss this opportunity. This car was sold for $15,000.00 on E-bay in 2004. below is an e-mail that seller sent me recently, after I asked him about the car.
Hello Brian,
Iwas definitely satisfied the car is a real Z28. There were severalindicators, all of which could have need added after it was built ofcourse. However the car had obviously been a racecar for quite some timeand people usually don't go to the trouble to correctly fake a racecar. The spot the speedo cable goes through the firewall(only in this spot on the Z-28 cars),12 bolt, disc brakes, correct master cylinder and proportioningvalve, along with the tall rear bumper guards, correct stripes, clutchpedal, etc all made me believe it was a real Z28, especially since theyobviously hadnt been recently added. Again, someone might slap Z28emblems on a race car but usually don't try to pass it off as real. Thehigh performance cars were usually the ones that saw race duty early inlife. A previous owner changed the heater box when he put the big blockin it which probably makes some believe it's a SS396 car, but if you'regoing to take a Z28 you're definitely not going to mess up a factory bigblock car, lol. Since its a Los Angeles car with no X code it's going tobe hard to prove it disprove, I'm no expert by any means but I've had abunch of first generation camaro and currently have a '69 X66 car, and Isure wouldn't have bought the one you have if I wasn't satisfied thatit was a real Z28. Good luck, Victor.
