Description

I'm selling my 1970 Camaro survivor that has a 250 cubic-inch 6 cylinder engine and a 3 speed manual transmission. It is the most original 2nd Gen Camaro I have ever seen, and it attracts far more attention at shows than its restored V8 brothers. It has won "Best Survivor" or "Best Unrestored" at several shows, and it won a Vintage Chevrolet Club of America award for its originality. I bought the car 3 years ago after spotting it on Craigslist Seattle and flew from Columbus, OH to Seattle to buy it. Its original owner was a woman from Los Angeles who bought it new from Connell Chevy in Torrance, CA and drove it until 1998. She gave the car to her nephew in Seattle who let it sit in his driveway for the next 16 years (hence the rust at the bottoms of the fenders). He sold it to a neighbor who had it for only a year before his wife said to get rid of ithe sold it to me. It comes with its original Protect-o-plate warranty booklet, original owner's manual, plastic pouch that held the owner's manual, original dealership key fob, a photo of the original owner, and a color copy of the original bill-of-sale (original one is missing-in-action). I have created 2 display boards for car shows that explain the car's history and show its paperworkthey go with the car. The car came with 2 options from the factorysport mirrors and tinted glass (this is the lowest optioned Camaro I have ever seen). It has manual steering and brakes and is a radio delete with its original delete plate still in the dash. It has original carpet, door panels, sunvisors, blackwall Goodyear spare tire, rare California-only jack, seats, dash pad, glass, radiator (still has the factory ident tag in place), grille, bumpers, and the engine compartment is untouched. It needs a headliner and new carpet to spruce the interior up (I am including the new headliner with the car). The underside of the car and cowl area are completely rust-freenot even surface rust. The bottoms of all 4 fenders and the right rear valance panel are the only rusty areas on the car. It was repainted the original color of Citrus Green sometime around 1980 and is now full of beautiful patina. The car can be painted and the rust fixed by the new owner, or it can be left alone and driven just as it is. All 6 cylinders have 145-160 psi of compression, but the engine uses oil and needs new piston rings (there is very little wear on the cylinder wallsthey are nearly pristine). It constantly receives thumbs-ups from other drivers, and it drives people crazy at showsit makes other Camaro owners unhappy at shows because it receives much more attention than their cars. It has new Uniroyal Tiger Paw radials, new Gabriel gas shocks, new battery, new rear spring pads, rebuilt carburetor and distributor, and new brakes all around, and it handles like it's on rails. The car is located on the north side of the Columbus, OH metro area and can be inspected by prospective buyers. I can be reached at 614-769-5868 (text onlyno voicemails), and I do not need "help" from any scammers with selling it. It comes with a clear, notarized Ohio title. A down payment of $500 via Paypal is expected within 24 hours of the end of the sale or I will cancel the sale and relist it. Payment is expected within 14 days of the end of the sale in cash only. I expect a call from the buyer within 24 hours of the end of the sale to discuss the sale's completion. I will be more than happy to help the new buyer's shipper, but the arrangements and cost for a shipper are totally up to the buyer. Thanks and happy bidding.
