Description

This car was a 1969 Camaro that was turned into a Z-28 because the guy couldn't find one. This car was made in 1977.
Motor: The motor is a crate 302 CI that was bought through a GM dealer. It has no ID number on it because it was a
crate motor. It had the optional Z-28 camshaft installed in it.
It is all stock and original.
The carb is a 750 CFM double pump Holley and the headers are Hooker Competition Plus. The mufflers are just header mufflers
and the system stops there. It doesn't go to the back of the car. There is a Unilite electronic
ignition sytem installed in the original distributor.
The pulleys are the GM deep ones.
Intake manifold and valve covers are original GM.
Has a three core radiator and the motor runs cool.
Drivetrain: Muncie 4 speed with Hurst shifter. GM 12 bolt posi rear axle with GM 4.56 gears. This car is a blast to drive in
the city but it doesn't like the highway.
Body: The body on this car has all original GM sheet metal. The paint is Garnett red. The
stripes are put on using the GM template. There is no rust on the body. Bumpers are very good as is all the bright trim.
All the lights work. All the windows work and the locks also. The blower motor and dash lights and all the other interior
components work. The console is GM and all the gauges work as do the lights. Even the one at the back of the console.
The buzzer for leaving the keys in works. Horns work. The radio does not work. The wipers work but go very slow.
The seats all have the original coverings and look good. The rugs are good. There is a hole in the headliner
about the size of a golf ball above the passenger side front. The door panels and side panels are all good.
The trunk is beautiful and has the GM posi traction sticker in it.
Suspension, steering, wheels and tires: Springs are Z-28. Shocks have been changed to a gas shock. Wheels are original GM
as are the trim rings and center caps. One trim ring has a dent in it. Tires are Goodyear and have good tread. The front
brakes are disc and the hoses have been changed. This car stops really well. All the steering components are GM and in
great condition. I put a power steering gearbox from a late 70's Camaro and new pump and hoses and this made the car.
It had a manual gearbox that had 4 and 1/2 turns lock to lock and it went to 2 and 1/2 turns. It all looks stock.
To know the whole story of this car is that it is as close to a real Z-28 that you can get. From the front bumper to the back this car except for the headers and carb is all GM. I guarantee it.
1969 Camaros are so nice looking. I know the new owner will be happy. It is a fun car to drive.
There is no reserve.
