The Z28 was first introduced in 1967, designed to defeat the Mustang in SCCA racing – which it did, winning the Trans Am championship in both 1968 and 1969. Essentially an option package for the Camaro, it was the brainchild of Chevy marketing and competition whiz Vince Piggins. At its heart was a specially built 302-cid V-8 crafted from the 327-ci block and the short-stroke 283 crank. Published horsepower was rated at 290-hp, though estimates of its real horsepower range from 350- to 400-hp. These racing successes helped the Z/28 Camaro evolve into a desirable option.   The magnificent 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 featured here is finished in highly desirable Cortez Silver over black interior. This original California 2 owner motorcar has just been released from over 31 year collector ownership and is now ready for its future caretaker. This investment grade Z/28 is without question one of the nicest examples we have seen in decades, with only 31,855 actual miles this highly original Z28 would be the perfect addition to any premier collection. Sold new in Southern California where it remained until we acquired it. Incredible opportunity to acquire an extremely original low mile California Z/28 at an investment price, for the most demanding collector investor or enthusiast who appreciates low miles and originality.      Ready to make an investment you can actually enjoy?
