This custom ’68 Camaro features vivid pearl yellow paint and a healthy 327 V8 & 5-speed. This is a real head-turner. Not a number’s matching car, this is one you can drive to the car show and enjoy. The majority of the work performed was completed in 2007 and approximately 2300 miles have been logged since. The paint has a real appeal in the bright sunlight. You can see the pearl “flake” in both the yellow and the black stripes. Custom 18/20″ Eagle Alloy wheels wrapped in Nitto NT555 rubber. The paint is in very good condition with some minor flaws on closer inspection. Completed in 2007, the car has been kept garaged. The 1968 Camaro would really be a special Camaro with its own unique features setting it apart from the ’67 and ’69 model years. The vent windows would be eliminated for 1968 while retaining the smooth body lines of the original Camaro. Under the cowl hood is the performance-oriented 327 c.i. V8. This 327/300+HP engine runs good and features many performance upgrades while remaining very street friendly. Spent gases are evacuated in a hurry through the custom dual header exhaust system. This car also features electronically-operated header dumps or exhaust cut-outs in addition to the mufflered dual pipes. It has a mild performance cam as well. Engine accessories include air conditioning with polished compressor (134A) along with a very nice Concept One power steering system. The serpentine belt system features polished billet brackets and billet pullies throughout. Further inspection will reveal solid original sheet metal throughout the firewall, inner fenders, and core support. Cooling duties are handles by an aluminum radiator and electric fan. Open the doors to a true American Muscle Classic. This interior is all business and pleasure, from the easy entrance roll cage to the touchscreen DVD system, this Camaro is special built to enjoy. 1968 would be the last year of the round instrument bezels for the Camaro. This example is fitted with Classic Instrument Camaro gauges complete with an 8,000 rpm tachometer. The bucket seating is optioned with head rests. The upholstery is clean and detailed front to back. The headliner has been replaced along with the rubber weather-strip throughout the doors. Custom Crow 5-Point Seat belts have been installed for the driver and passenger. The custom-built roll cage features removable side bars if desired. Note the attachment hardware shown above. This custom molded center console houses a Kenwood touchscreen DVD head unit.
