It's no secret that today's car collectors buy the cars that they grew up with. It explains the muscle car boom, and it will unquestionably lead to cars like this 1979 Camaro Z/28 being collectable and highly-sought in the not-so-distant future. When you throw in all of the documentation that comes along with this car including the original build sheet,Original sales invoice, protecto warranty plate book, and every oil change and maintenance since day 1 at Dilawri Chevrolet in Stittsville Ontario Canada and the original owners manual it's sure to be a collectible in the near future. There's no question this is a real, matching-numbers Z/28, and it's in great condition. The red paint is a pleasant diversion from the more familiar white and black Zs out there or the godly brown, and the over-the-top looks are definitely cool today with its 100% original paint, with this one being one of the more palatable combinations today. Neatly integrated front and rear fascias successfully updated the second-generation design, keeping it fresh and giving it a new lease on life. Other details like the NACA-inspired hood scoop and side "gills" are the kinds of things that are popular even today, so this Z isn't the anachronism you'd expect. This is a great-looking 100% original untouched vintage muscle car that gets a ton of attention everywhere it goes. The '70s weren't only about outrageous colors and shag carpet, as the handsome, upscale interior ably demonstrates. Looking like it was borrowed from a much more expensive car, the handsome bucket seat interior looks fresh thanks to the original owner absolute love for this automobile. Soft surfaces and high-back buckets make it inviting, and it comes with a full array of factory gauges plus a every option interior including the factory CB radio hanging from the rear view mirror Even the steering wheel is like new, which emulates the string-wrapped wheels of the '30s, is in outstanding condition. And to help you enjoy the ride, this car features factory A/C that blows freezing cold and strong and factory CB/AM/FM stereo that still works as intended. The trunk carries original carpets, original spare, original jack assembly untouched and never used. The original exhaust is still like new and untouched even the brake line spring shields still turn with your hand. The numbers-matching 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood was standard equipment in the Z/28, and making 175 horsepower and a very respectable 270 pounds of torque (remember this was 1979). It is fully stock and 100% untouched with only oil pan and valve cover gaskets replaced so it runs extremely well and does not leak a drop of anything and by using factory Quadra-Jet carburetor its right, idles smoothly, and drives like it should. making this a Camaro that's ready to go with no tinkering required. The motor retains its original paint and everything under the hood is factory GM,the turbo hydramatic 350 shift like new and has never been touched accept for a gasket and a serious flush, By far this is the most original Z28 I have ever seen in this condition right down to the original weather stripping that is like it came from a time machine unbelievably stunning example of the nicest 110% original second gen Z probably on the planet with all these options and colour combo. With the crumbling of the economy and the constant collapse of the unstable stock market, invest in some true iron that will rise either way and enjoy your youth and investment. The days of material assets have come and why not add this Picasso to you garage.Time is running out, these cars are the Next Big Thing. Take this beautiful example home and relive your youth.
