Description

It comes with a heavy heart that I am choosing to sell my 1998 Z28 Camaro. I work in Montreal, and I just don’t have the time to enjoy the car since I don't daily drive it. It doesn’t make sense for me to have it in the garage all summer when someone else could enjoy it.
The Basics:
This is a great, clean, and factory Hardtop 1998 Camaro Z28. It has not been winter driven and has low KM’s on it – 96,200km (60,125 miles). This is a great way to get a car with the sought after 350hp LS1 engine that has not been molested, with the 6-speed manual T56 transmission. There are no squeaks or rattles that you would find with a high-KM car. The car has a clean title, with a clean Carfax report.
The LS1 pulls very strong, it shifts well, and the car feels quick as it should and it makes a great sound.
Interior:
It has a grey cloth interior that looks immaculate (dare I say perfect) – no rips, tares, or even any signs of ware on the fabric or the plastics. The dashboard has no cracks or issues. It has power windows, locks, drivers seat, and mirrors. Everything functions as it should.
Exterior:
The exterior of the car is in good condition. It has been driven and does have a couple scratches, and there area few rock chips on the hood. The paint is in excellent condition (no swirls etc). I've tried to include detailed pictures of the exterior especially the paint, especially the black roof - it's in excellent condition. There are no dents or dings. All the panels line up as they should. The headlights and taillights are clear and not hazy.
Issues with the exterior include light spider webbing on the front and rear bumpers (pictured, but very difficult to see), a few stone chips on the hood (pictured), two scratches on the driver side rear quarter panel (pictured), a light scratch on the rear bumped (pictured), and a blemish on the passenger side door. I do have a replacement door (painted red) to go with the car, so if the blemish bothers you, you will be able to fix it with no extra investment.
Modifications:
The car is virtually the way it came from the factory. I changed the original cheap plastic grille for a billet one. I added an OEM SS spoiler (from SLP), and added a black rear "Berger" panel. The factory spoiler and factory red rear panel are included with the vehicle. Last week I lowered the car - half of the photos of the car are with the new (lower) suspension setup. Should this not be your taste, I can re-install the original shocks and springs.
The car has CCW Classic wheels on it currently. The CCWs, to my knowledge, are Corvette T1 fitment; they measure 17x10 front, and 17x11 rear.
It will come with the factory Z28 wheels, and for the right price, I could include the CCW Classics. The Classics measure 17x10 front, and 17x11 rear. The tires are all Goodyear Eagle GS-C 275/40/17 front, 315/35/17 rear. The front tires have good tread depth, and the rears are more worn, but will have no issues with an inspection. If the car is sold for over $10,000 it will be included with the CCW wheels and the original 5-spoke Z28 wheels. If the car sells for less than$10,000 the car will be sold with the Z28 wheels.
The car is pictured with export tail lights, but will come with a set of perfect condition LS1 tail lights.
The car has the original Z28 exhaust, but with an exhaust cutout to give it a more aggressive sound. The cutout can be closed if you would rather the car sound factory.
The Bad:
As I said, the car has a couple scratches, and a few rock chips.
This is one of the best ways to get into an LS1 Camaro. The car is in great condition and has not been beat on. It has the 6 speed transmission that everyone wants, is reliable, and is a great way to get into a quick muscle / pony car.
While I am in Canada, I am happy to meet a US buyer in New York state if that helps smooth things over. We have a very strict safety inspection and emissions program here which the car passes no problem. There should be no issues in the US. Please let me know what questions you have.
