Description
This car is mint; frame off restoration by the previous
owner (body shop owner) approximately 7 years ago and driven very little
since. Always garaged and covered. I have the box of many trophies that the
previous owner won at car shows. The car
was originally a 6 cylinder 3 speed but conversion to Z-28 specs was
painstakingly thorough, with a few improvements/updates made. The car was completely disassembled. New glass (except pssgr door), entire new
interior, new headliner, new dash, new instruments, new seats, updated steering
column with tilt from 1980 Z, suspension parts rebuilt with poly bushings,
Rancho phase 3 canyon race suspension; phase 3 front and rear springs, 1 ¼”
front sway bar, 7/8” rear sway bar (very stiff ride), rebuilt motor and
transmission from 1980 Z with 4 speed borg-warner, 3:42 posi rear, new clutch,
stainless exhaust (nice rumble but not too loud), new aluminum radiator, new
brakes (Corvette calipers on front I believe), new gas tank, new light fixtures,
new wiring harness, rebuilt blower motor for rear defrost, new chrome all
around, new rubbers, period correct wheels in perfect condition, spare,
excellent tires, etc….. Everything on
the car was taken apart, rebuilt and repainted, or replaced. A beautiful car that gets admired wherever it goes. The car looks and smells
new inside, and outside is flawless with the exception of the odd rock chip that is unavoidable if the car is taken off the trailer. There is absolutely nothing
needed and everything works as it should. Doors close rock solid with no
sagging. Trunk is pristine as is engine
bay. The paint scheme is unique, and
replicates a Motion Performance 454 upgrade that Joel Rosen’s speed emporium in
Baldwin, NY did on the cars in 1971, which is the magazine article I've included in the photos. Gets
overwhelming attention wherever it goes. Insured with Hagerty for much more than
asking. This is an older
restoration and the car has been driven lightly so a clean undercarriage with no rust anywhere but not Barrett Jackson show quality underneath. I have additional photos of wheel wells and underneath that are available by request. This is a smokin' deal at the asking price as the car is like new inside and out and needs nothing. I will assist with getting the car to a shipper. Thanks.
