Description
This car is in excellent condition, and is a converted 6
cylinder 3 speed car to the installation of a rebuilt 350 and 4 speed application from a 1980 Z; frame off disassembly restoration by the previous owner approximately 7 years ago and used very
little since other than the car show circuit.
Always garaged and covered. I
have the box of many trophies that the previous owner won, most of which are "People's Choice". Glass is like new with a few verticle scratches on the
passenger side window, entire new interior, new headliner, new dash, new instruments
(Z cluster all operational), new correct seats, updated steering column with
tilt from 1980 Z, suspension parts rebuilt with poly bushings, Rancho phase 3
canyon race suspension; phase 3 front and rear springs, 1 ¼” front sway bar,
7/8” rear sway bar (very stiff ride), 4 speed borg-warner, 3:42 posi rear, new
clutch, stainless exhaust (nice rumble but not too loud), new aluminum
radiator, new brakes with rebuilt calipers front, new gas tank, new light
fixtures, new wiring harness, new chrome
all around, new rubbers, period correct wheels in perfect condition, spare,
excellent tires, etc….. Everything on
the car was taken apart, rebuilt and repainted, or replaced. All panels are steel and there is no rust
in, on, or under the car (some panels were replaced/repaired but you have to
look very hard), and the car looks and smells new inside. There is absolutely nothing needed and
everything works perfectly, including the rear window defrost blower. Doors close rock solid with no sagging. Trunk is pristine as is engine bay. The paint scheme is unique, and replicates a
Motion Performance 454 upgrade that Joel Rosen’s speed emporium in Baldwin, NY
did on the cars in 1971. Gets
overwhelming attention wherever it goes.
Only driven on nice days. Mileage
says 21000 miles but is not known. Insured with Hagerty for more than twice the asking
price. This is an older restoration
so the undercarriage is very clean but not Barrett Jackson show quality. I have it up on a 4 post lift presently so if there are particular photos that you would like let me know. You cannot replicate for near this price. It is a beautiful tribute and feels / looks / smells new.
