No reserve on this unique vehicle. Don't have the time to use this conversion, need the space in my garage, so it's for sale.
1997 Chevrolet Cavalier converted to run as plug-in electric car. 5 speed manual transmission with no clutch necessary to shift. Engine, gas tank, radiator, and other gasoline driveline components removed. Equipped with a NetGain Warp 9 DC electric motor. Instant delivery of torque. Zilla 1K controller running on 144 volt system composed of 12 sealed gel 12V Deka deep cycle marine batteries (size group 31). Range is about 15 miles as is but could be extended to 60 or more miles with tuning and new and newer batteries. Could easily convert to running lithium battery pack. Car is also equipped with 2 on board Delta-Q DCI 72V chargers with built-in DC-DC converters. Receptacle and extension cord to charge on 20A 110V or 220V current. Delta-Q chargers enable user to download firmware and charging algorithms for any battery pack you could think to create. Precise algorithms ensure accurate and safe charging along with extending service life of pack. Electric heater and heated seats installed. Vacuum pump powered by DC-DC converter powers brakes. Electric water pump cools motor controller and other electronic components. Power steering assist provided by electric power steering module from Chevrolet Cobalt. E-Meter provides information about battery pack charge/range and other data in digital readout. Low miles on Bridgestone low rolling resistance tires. Brand new rear shocks and heavy duty springs. Less than 50 total hours on all components and car since conversion. Could benefit from some clean up and tinkering. Many extra parts and an entire banker's box full of documentation and wiring diagrams/receipts. Will include a Norco Genius charger for charging pack or bench charging 3 batteries at a time.
Many original equipment functions operate as you would expect. Power windows work great. Headlights and turn signals and others required lighting work perfectly. Dash warning lights and indicators along with warning lights for various installed systems.
