Description
Ok heres the deal! This is a true L78 Car--The car currently has a 66 396 motor from a chevelle that is brand new--I HAVE THE ORIGINAL # L78 BLOCK-It is in good condition and is ready to be rebuilt--It has the correct JD suffix code and the matching VIN #--See the photos--It is a true Lemans Blue 4 speed car--It was frame off restored before I purchased it--The car has 1 very very tiny chip in the paint about the size of a tip of a pen-I think one of my kids did it in the garage--The guy I purchased the car from did all the work-everything seems to be new on the car-All chrome, trim and body panels are excellent-The interior is all new as well-Even the package tray has not been cut--It does still need the factory radio--It looks as if it was a nut and bolt resto-as all of the undercarriage is new as well--The car runs excellent as has no rattles or squeeks and drives down the road as straight as can be-It has the factory style exhaust so it is quiet-Factory manifolds-It has the correct 14" wheels that are date correct for the car-I was told they were the originals and he had them restored. It is a true Lemans Blue car-I had the car professionally appraised-It appraised in the high 30's without the original block-That was before I tracked it down-Lots of leg work to get that block--It was being held for ransom!!!! So I paid big bucks just to get that block-But as I see it how many true matching # L78 cars are out there--So I paid the price for the block-Please look at the pics--its a really nice car--The nicest I have ever owned-But I have several cars--Mostly corvettes-But we have decided to install an inground pool at our house so this car has to go--Kids happiness are more important than the car--I have a standing offer on the car but decided to list it on here-and if doesn't bring enough money I will sell it to him-Please feel free to ask questions--The guy I got the car from has a ton of pics from when the car was being restored and knows more of the history than me--I will gladly put you in contact with him after the sale--He calls me frequently to keep in touch-He is supposed to get me all the pics--They are not on his computer they are actual pics--So heres your chance to own a rare piece of Chevy History--I have a fairly low reserve on it--I have it priced like a 325 HP Chevelle--and its already been restored--I was going to have the motor built and wrap it in plastic--too valuable to put it in the car and risk blowing it up-Like I said please feel free to ask any questions--I will try to answer them and feel free to come see the car---
