Description
1970 Chevelle Super Sport
First ask yourself how many documented Cranberry Red 70 Chevelle Super Sport projects are left? I am sure you will agree there can't be to many left. Second question, If a real Super Sport brings an easy 5k or more over a clone why wouldn't your buy a real one when they are available and cheap as this one.
This car was sold to Earl Carothers on Indianapolis in May of 1970. It was delivered to a Chevy dealer in Indianapolis on 16th street. Car car came with the following.
A01 Tinted glass
A51 Strato Bucket seats
B22 Door Emblems SS
B37 Floor mats
B93 Door edge guards
B96 bright wheel moldings
C03 vinyl top
D55 Console
F41 Performance Suspension
G94 331 Ratio
J50 Power brakes
JL2 Disc brakes
L34 396 cid 4 barrel
M40 3 speed turbo
N40 Power Steering
U27 Glove box light
U63 push button radio
U76 Windshield antenna
U80 Rear speaker
ZL3 SS396 conversion
Expect at minimum needing the following sheet metal-Full quarters-inner and outer wheel houses-one piece trunk pan-front fenders-one outside rocker panel-some floor pans-tail panel.
Now for the good-All the F41 suspension is there- dash is actually nice. Frame looks to be good did not see any holes-Big block steering shaft still there-4 original SS wheels-nice console-original turbo 400 (see pic vin stamp)-driveshaft and crossmember-396 emgine- The engine is a 1972 396- I was told it was rebuilt about 30K miles ago and used in his 1 ton work truck until the truck was junked. It has sat on my floor for about 2 years. Other than that I know nothing about it.
The guy I bought the car off took the hood and 12 bolt and put it on his 71 Malibu. I could not talk him back out of them. Car now has his 10 bolt in it.
I also reserve the right to stop the auction at any time. I will require a small down payment through paypal. Delivery maybe available at a $1.00 a loaded mile up to 200 miles one way. You must call ahead to see if I can arrange it. I will then require cash upon delivery. please call 765 206 0350 steve.
Personal Guarantee-- If you inspect the car at my home within 7 days and you do not like it for any reason you forfeit the deposit but are not required tom pay for the car. I will not renegotiate the final price however. I live 1 hour north of Indy. Thanks.
