1968 Chevrolet Chevelle

1968 Chevelle. Fully restored with pro touring feel. The car has new fenders, doors, quarters and trunk lid. All bad metal was replaced. After body work was completed, the red base coat was applied along with a subtle red/orange pearl SS stripes then clear coated. Finally it was wet sanded and polished. As you can see the paint is near perfect with no orange peal, straight as an arrow and all gaps line up nicely. The suspension is virtually all new with BMR upper/lower tubular front control arms and Viking dual adjustable coil over shocks. New tie rods, ball joints, sway bar links/bushings. The rear consists of UMI tubular lower control arms along with UMI sway bar. New rear springs also. The car handles superbly with no shakes and goes down the road straight. The 350 motor was completely rebuilt, being bored to 355. A mild hyd. cam, camel hump heads, aluminum intake and quickfuel 750 double pump carb make this a quick yet reliable motor. It is mated to a fully rebuilt T350 trans with a shift kit installed. The rear end is also rebuilt with new Yukon posi carrier and Yukon 3.55 gears and a Moser Engineering cover. The front brakes are disc with slotted and drilled rotors with drum in the rear. The interior is in immaculate shape. Seats, headliner, carpet are all in great condition. A B&M shifter is mounted on the floor. New Dakota Digital dash is installed that can keep track of top speed, top RPM's, 1/4 mile time, etc. Aftermarket 14" steering wheel really looks great. There is no heat/AC or radio. I have also posted a pic of the only flaw which is on the center of the dash pad - 2 small cracks. The wheels are American Racing "Hopster" and wrapped in Hankook tires. The car is a real head turner, that handles great, performs great, and is as reliable as a brand new car.
