Description

This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle is one of the Bristow Eliminator cars that is a true numbers matching rotisserie restored LS6 4-speed. This Chevelle is in as-new condition today and is fully documented in incredible detail. The 1970 LS6 powered Chevelle is the pinnacle of muscle cars. This was a 40,000 mile original car that was restored by one of the top Chevelle restorers in the world, Cam's Classic Restorations in Coquitlam, B.C. (they specialize in Chevelle restorations). This is an important example and definitely investment grade in every way. Included on our website photo gallery are detailed photographs documenting the fastidious numbers and date matching records of this Chevelle. It has accumulated approximately 40 miles since its restoration. This Chevelle was sold new at Cliff Bristow Motors (Dealer No. 82-270) in Three Hills, Alberta. Cliff Bristow was the Yenko equivalent for Canada. Bristow was dedicated to making performance enhancements to Chevrolets to make them much more competitive for racing. This example was one of four LS6 Chevelle's ordered for Bristow and was shipped on May 13, 1970. Bristow offered the Eliminator Package which included the headers, Hurst competition plus shifter and the Sun Super tach. Unlike Yenko's, the Bristow Eliminators were not embellished with stripe and decals, with the exception of the subtle dealer sticker on the trunk. This is the only known Eliminator package survivor and is fully documented by the GM Shipping records and GM Canada build sheets. The Forest Green Metallic (Paint Code 48) livery is nearly perfect. The paint has been tirelessly wet sanded and polished to a mirror surface. There are only a couple of small touch up areas around the hood on the drivers side. The panel fit is superb and the chrome and stainless are as-new throughout. Everything about this Chevelle is correct. The black vinyl bench seat (Trim Code 755) and interior are perfect, correct and as-new as well. The Sun Super tach is prominently displayed for the driver to see and the short throw Hurst Competition shifter feels just right in your hand. The engine compartment and undercarriage are absolutely incredible to see. Please review the photo gallery for details. Original inventory labels are everywhere and every component is either date coded correctly or has all the correct labels. This Chevelle had accumulated a mere 40,000 miles when it was found and later restored. Even the brakes drums, wheels cylinders, etc. where restored and reused or are included in the sale. The venerable 454 CID V8 produced 450hp and 500 ft. lbs. of torque. The M22 4-speed transmission and 4.10 Positraction rear end make this as fast today as it was in 1970. This is thought to be one of 168 examples of the LS6 produced without the cowl induction. Collectors around the world recognize that the 1970 Chevelle LS6 is an investment grade collectors item not to be missed. This year, numerous examples have been sold of similar cars for $220,000 , $220,000 and $330,000. Our Chevelle will compare favorably with any of these three comparable sales. Included with the purchase is all of the documentation, restoration photographs, display boards, an owners manual and case, jack and spare as well as an extra set of keys. For more details and information, please call, text or email Harry Clark at 1.602.245.7200 or . This Chevelle is in our showroom in Phoenix.
