The original owner was a older lady from San Gabriel (Los Angeles, Calif.), Ruth Wilson.
July 12, 1966 - She had traded in her 1958 Chevy Del Ray at Mission Chevrolet for the exchange of this new 1966 Malibu.
Options included 283 V8 Powerglide Automatic / Power Steering / Power Brakes / Air Conditioning
Factory Aztec Bronze/ Burgundy Bucket Seats / Console / AM Radio / Rear Speaker / Rear Antenna /
Mag Wheel Covers / Floor Mats / White Wall Tires / Tinted Glass / Seat Belts
Few years later, it was then sold to her son in law. Around 1973, Don (3rd owner) was able to talk him into selling to him after needing a water pump.
It was kept in there family since then. Mostly in the garage & spent its entire life In Los Angeles as told by the owner. Remains the original Black California plates. After so many years, the owners had decided to part ways as it became less desirable to drive in there age & health.
I'm excited to present this Chevelle Malibu that has not been offered publicly for sale in over 50 years
Being Sold To The Highest Bidder With No Reserve
An original numbers matching Chevelle. The original 283 V8 "Suffix DJ" that matches the protect o plate booklet.
Remains pretty much original & stock as possible. Remains stock single exhaust, 2 barrel carb & a power glide 2 speed transmission. Runs like a sewing machine, smooth. Starts right when its cold, great running driver. Recently serviced & had a valve job with new gaskets done back in 2017. Original A/C car but is compressor was taken off years ago. Owner couldn't remember what he had done with it.
The third owner had it repainted to a brighter Red. It was just a single stage job that was done like by a Maaco. Looks beautiful in photos & is a 5 footer. Has some over spray here and there but its a clean driver. By no means its a show car or in any way a perfect car. The trim is old, weatherstripping is poor & again is considered a driver. Something you would expect from a long time owner.
Interior is complete & original. All stock as you can see, Everything is intact.
Overall its a driver that is ready to be driven the way it is or a great candidate for a full restoration as its a Complete solid California car.
My opposition is drive it till the wheels fall off. There only original once
