Description
This is a 1966 chevy chevelle Malibu with a 396 engine and a 5 speed tremec transmission. The engine was rebuilt 10 years ago and the 5 speed was swapped in at the same time in Arizona. I drove this car from Arizona to NY without a problem, about 2500 miles. Engine runs strong, well balanced, no issues with the transmission. Since then the car has been stored, very little miles, started at least monthly and driven a few miles. The car starts up so well it even fires up at the same time during cranking!
I replaced just about every mechanical component – radiator, all suspension parts including hotchkis upper and lower control arms, edelbrock shocks, large sway bar, AGR gear box, added a power booster with front discs, replaced wiring harnesses + fuse box, alternator, electronic ignition, custom gauges on dash, all four springs have been replaced as well as the rear control arms. The floor boards have been replaced just before I purchased the car, I painted the undercarriage with por15, the floors are solid no rust. I also had the car painted a chevy metallic blue from the late 60’s, I cant remember exactly the colors name. The car has 17x8 centerline wheels with 255/45 falken tires all around. The carb is a Qjet 750 – 2 years old. The only things I can think of that has not been replaced is the exhaust system, gas tank, and rear differential.
What does it need?
There is a small dent on the front right fender on the top
A tear in the headliner – also needs the rear side panels
The passenger seat head rest has a small tear.
For the interior I have the door panels, a new headliner along with the rear back panels, center console – see pictures
For the exterior I have sill plates, rocker panel molding along with rear quarter, many other chrome pieces for the rear lights, 396 badge - see pictures
In order to match the year, the seats need to be The rest of my pictures
