I have owned this car only since last fall. I have driven it approximately 15 miles since that time. It has been inside, in storage, with a custom nylon California Car cover on it. This is the fastest and nicest car I have ever driven. I do not have the time to enjoy this car, it should go to someone who can. The description below is from the prior owner’s advertisement when I purchased it, as well as the You Tube Video links. The buyer is responsible for shipping, payment is a certified bank check. The starting price is set at a lower cost than what I purchased it for.
Prior owner’s description:
This is a true 3 owner car between best friends and family. Built at the Van Nuys assembly plant in Southern California then shipped to Las Vegas, NV. This Chevelle started life as a Chevelle SS 350 equipped with factory A/C, power front disc brakes, full gauge package, power steering, SS equipment package, performance suspension and more. I have the original build sheet that comes with the car.
Years later the first owner then sold it to his high school friend who I have know all my life. The second owner was there when the car was first purchased in 71 from Fairway Chevy in Las Vegas. The second owner spent 7 years completely taking the car a part down to the bare frame and rebuilding it ground up. I have a photo book of the process.
During the rebuild he made noteworthy improvements including a Hotchkis 4-Link Rear End and a GM 502 Crate Motor. Minor issues with the vehicle are: a small leak in middle of the windshield top when the car is washed, small chip in black paint on cowl induction area, small scratch on right rear corner (approx. 1/4 inch), Stereo not working and the A/C needs recharging.
This car spent 95% of its life in Las Vegas and has never had a spot of rust on it. There has been less than 800 miles on this car since it was rebuilt from the frame up. Meticulous records kept on every part of this car. Awesome vehicle! Ready for summer time cruising and car shows!
Vehicle is equipped with:
GM Performance Crate ZZ502 Engine700R4 TransmissionHedman HeadersFlowmaster Dual ExahustHotchkis 4-Link Rear New InteriorFlawless Pan, Frame and Body.
This is an amazing car that turns heads every where it's driven. If you have questions, feel free to ask. I have frame off restoration photos, receipts and documentation of the modifications performed, all will ship with the car.
