1968 CHEVELLE SS for Sale Extraordinarily Restored …..A True 138 code
SuperSport with Big Block Power, Tremec 5 speed and Foose wheels!!!!
A 2 year off the frame restoration was completed 3 years &1,200 miles ago of which detailed pictures are available. The stance, HP, transmission, color, wheel package is all spot on & extremely tasteful. Never abused or raced.
Prior to the restoration the last time the vehicle was inspected was 1990 and 62K was on the speedometer!
The following details the work & components put into the car with new designating that it was replaced during the restoration process between 2 and 4 years ago.
Body
· Very straight & completed by a local shop
· 2-stage paint with many coats of clear. Stripes are painted then clear coated with remainder of the body to avoid a seam. Color is a BMW Space Gray…very classy & classic!!!
· New lights, body trim, grills bumpers etc.
Engine/Transmission
· Early 70’s 454 completely rebuilt by a local shop from pan to carb with roller cam/lifters
· Spec’d between 425 and 450 HP……. yet easy starting and idling.
· Tremec 600 5 speed transmission allows for quickness yet less than 2000rpm’s on the highway
· New Holley 750 carburetor with electronic choke
· New polished Weiand intake
· MSD ignition with rev limiter
· Mallory billet distributer with adjustable advance curve
· Dual electric fans
· New high flow radiator
· New/balanced driveshaft & u-joints
· New chrome alternator and fuel pump
· New flywheel, clutch and linkage….this was originally an automatic car.
Under Carriage / Suspension
· Every suspension component has been replaced…. bushings, bearings shocks, springs etc.
· New Foose rims with Mastercraft G/T rubber
· Rebuilt 12 bolt differential Posi with a Perfect Launch differential cover for added strength.
· New gas tank with SS line
· New brakes (disc’s in the front) & SS lines.
· New master cylinder with power brakes
· New parking brake
· New/dual Flowmaster exhaust with cross over and headers. Just the right tone. Not too loud…subtle & classic!!
· New front wheel disc brakes
· New oversized rear sway bar
· New adjustable trailing arms
Interior
· All new carpet, seat covers, door panels, headliner, dash pad etc.
· Bucket seats with extended drivers seat track for more room
· Vintage appearing audio sound radio with AMP and 4 speaker system
· Warning lights replaced with gauge’s……. yet remain period in appearance
· New period correct speedometer
