Description
If your tired of looking at Chevelle's that are Black, Red, Green, then look at this car. It is a special factory color called North Carolina Blue.This car was built in Atlanta Ga. plant and delivered to Wannamaker Motor Co. in Orangeburg North Carolina. The car has the original window sticker which documents the options on this car, including the SS396 option, and the special paint color known as N. Carolina Blue option # ( 1001HA ). The car also includes the dealer delivery sheet filled out dated and signed April 22 1969.
The car is belived to be a 4 owner car, all documents are in a folder and will accompany the car with the sale.
The folder includes, original window sticker, dealer check sheet, broadcast sheet, and orig. owners manual, also an original N. Carolina Title to the second owner dated 2-28-1975.
There is also a second bill of sale dated May 14, 1985.
The engine was replaced with a GM factory replacement engine and was restamped and was in the car when purched from prior owners. The block casting is 3955272.
This Chevelle is a 396-325 HP with a TH-400 it has a 12 bolt with belived to be 355 ratio. It has factory A/C in working order, compressor turns freely, it also has the option 8 track player and works very well, and a Delco AM radio. Also the SS package, and a vinyl roof with the special paint color.
The paint shines with mirror image, and the car had one repaint since it left the factory. There ia no rust or bondo in this car, everything works as it should. It drives and handles as good as the day it left the factory.
It has four new coil springs along with four new shocks, new upper and lower control arm bushings, new carpet and seats, the SS wheels have been replaced and has four new tires.The engine was gone through four years ago, and the exhaust is new.
All gaps and alignments are the same as when the car was new, all floor pans and trunk are orig. an solid factory condition. It also has the orig. spare tire mounted on an SS rim. The car has been well cared for all it's life.
Please note the status of the car remains as close as the day it left the factory and presents a vintage piece of the GM Heart Beat Of America SS pride.
It still has the orig. bumpers and trim and also 4 of the orig. T-3 headlights.
The last note, in 1969 Chevrolet dropped the 138 code for SS models so you knew if the vin started with 138 it was a true SS. From 1969 on all vin.s started with 136 so it is hard to prove that the Chevelle is a true SS unless like this car it has all the documention to prove that, so unless the car has that consider it a clone.
