Description

This is a beautifully restored, all numbers matching and incredibly well optioned 1969 Chevelle SS 396 convertible in the rare and desirable Hugger Orange. This is a 73,000-mile Arizona car, making it a perfect example for a concours restoration. The quality of the restoration is excellent and with options such as air conditioning, bucket seats, center console and more, this is likely a unique spec for a 1969 Chevelle. This Chevelle features the rare and desirable Hugger Orange (Paint Code 927), which was only available for the SS 396 optioned cars. The paint is fantastic and is complimented by the black stripes running the length of the sides. The paint is professionally polished and looks as smooth as glass. This Chevelle also features the ZJ7 special wheels, hub caps and trim rings and the C06 black electric convertible top. The interior is the special SS 396 configuration enhanced with numerous options. It has the correct original A51 black Strato bucket seats with the N34 faux wood grained steering wheel, D55 center console and U14 instrument panel gauges. The black upholstery, carpet and dash are all perfect and as new. Also ordered are the U69 AM/FM pushbutton radio and air conditioning. Everything looks and works as new. Under the hood is where much of the magic lies. The numbers matching L35 396 CID 325 hp big block looks as new and the sound from the N10 dual exhausts is awesome! The numbers matching M-40 turbo 400 automatic transmission has the console shifter and the H01 rear axle ratio is 3.07:1. This is an excellent Chevelle to add to any collection of American muscle, or a terrific car to show, drive and enjoy! This Chevelle was produced at the Baltimore, MD plant during the first week in February in 1969. It is believed to be an Arizona car from new. For more information and details, please call or text Harry Clark at 1.602.245.7200 or email us at. The Chevelle is in our Phoenix showroom.
