Description
1983 CHEVROLET K10 4X4
I am the second owner of this truck and I bought it this year. It's a nice old classic squarebody. It is a very clean and straight survivor. It was owned by a gentleman who is 81 years old and took very good care of it. It is original for the most part with the exception of the wheels/tires, and a crate 350 replacement engine. The body is nice and nearly rust free. The owners manual is included. This truck is very tight and quiet, and feels like driving a new one back in the day. It runs and drives perfect down the road. I can help arrange shipping if needed. I have other pics and undercarriage pics I can send. I can also provide video of it running and driving if you'd like. International bidders are welcome. Thanks and happy bidding.
MECHANICAL
This has a crate replacement 350 small block with low miles. The paperwork is included. The motor was put in and everything put back in using all original equipment. There are no modifications. It has a single exhaust that may be original. It starts right up and the choke works as it should. It does not smoke at all, even at 40 degree cold start. There is no blow-by. There is no water in the oil or oil in the water. There are no overheating issues. There are no leaks. The 4-speed manual works perfectly. Clutch works great too. No slipping or jumping. The 4x4 works as it should with no abnormalities. I've driven it in low range also with hubs in and everything is fine. The gauges all work. The front-end is tight and it drives nice and smooth and straight as an arrow. The tires are brand new 31x10.50r15's. The rally wheels are not original. The lights, signals, wipers, heater, and parking brake works. I haven't tried the cassette deck but I figured nobody would care anyways lol. I was just happy the dash wasn't cut for a cd player. Overall, the truck is very mechanically sound. I would trust it to drive anywhere. I would put new shocks on it if I were keeping it but it doesn't necessarily need them.
INTERIOR
This has the original interior. The only modifications are a seat cover and cassette player. The interior in this custom deluxe model is very basic. The windows are manual and it does not have a/c, although that's easy to add with an aftermarket kid or gm parts. The pics tell the story. The truck is quiet when riding in it and it's clear this truck was driven carefully and not abused. I have not checked under the seat cover to see if the drivers side is worn, but I can.
BODY
The body is really nice for an un-restored gm pickup that is 38 years old. It has minor rust on each cab corner, way down low. This is only on the exterior face, it does not wrap around the back of the cab corner. each spot is about 1x2". It will be easy to spot repair and paint. The only other rust spot on the exterior is right behind the rear wheel on the drivers side. There is no rust on the passenger side behind the wheel. The rest of the body is very nice. I have extensive undercarriage pics also I can send. There is no frame rust or floorpan rust. Montana doesn't salt the roads much and didn't salt the roads at all for the majority of the time this pickup has been around. Windows, doors, hood and tailgate operate as they should. The inside of the box is in nice shape. The paint has the usual wear and the original pinstriping is coming off and fading but the truck still cleans up good. It has a few small dings but no dents. Overall the body is really nice and solid for a survivor truck.
OVERALL
This is a very clean old squarebody. You won't be disappointed. This old truck is sold as-is. Feel free to ask questions. Thanks and happy bidding.
