Description
I bought this 1990 Chevrolet K1500 about 2 months ago for my avid outdoors son! Fishing, hunting, carrying his fourwheeler, etc., he needs a truck! Bought the truck unseen and had the truck shipped to me. The seller at the time had just put a new GM Goodwrench crate 350, had the transmission and transfer case rebuilt. I did not care about the appearance of the truck, knowing that my 16 year old was going to have this off road for deer hunting, etc. At delivery the truck started right up. I decided to have all the fluids flushed and changed, also replaced the radiator with a brand new unit. (The mechanic recommended a new radiator, due to sludge that they could not drain). Also, due to making sure the truck was safe, I had new rotors and brake pads installed all the way around. I further had the door pins replaced due to that normal (90's) dropping and both the power window motors replaced. I recently replaced the power steering pump with a lifetime warranty pump from Autozone. I have driven this truck on the interstate at 80 mph and have never had a problem.
Now a few issues, the truck has the old 90's GM paint and it appears as though someone had the truck repainted (very cheaply), so there is paint on the hood, the roof, that is flaking off. The truck has scraps and dings, all around it. I originally was going to have my local body shop fix all of the dings, and repaint (after my son shows that he will attempt to take care of the truck). The drivers side door has a nice dent, the dent appears to have caused the front fender to somehow grab when fully open and caused the dent to the fender. I have paid for a white door and white fender from a salvage yard to replace this problem and was going to install prior to the body work and paint. So the door and fender will be included in the auction. The steering column has a wild worn feeling. You can move the steering column up and down while driving. So again, I bought a steering column that would fix this problem, and it is included in the auction. And last, the tires are in pretty bad shape. That would be one of the first things I suggest to be done. But other then cosmetic, the truck runs excellent, has plenty of power and the 4wd works great!
I have a carfax report that I will add to the listing (ZERO accidents), and if you need more pictures, or would like video, please message me.
Only reason I am selling, my son's mother and I must have had the same thought at the same time and she has already bought him another truck.
