Description
1969 Chevrolet CST 4x4 3/4 ton pickup. This is my dream truck, I built it with the help and knowledge of my older brother whom owns and operates a vintage auto restoration shop. Due to family obligations, I'm forced to sell it. This truck was a blast to build, I had LMC truck on speed dial. We built this truck to a high quality, meant to be daily driven. This truck was completed last year, I've put a few thousand miles on it, we have worked out all the known bugs. I'm so happy with the end result, it is really heart breaking to sell the truck I spent so much money and time building. Sickening to admit, I have $38,500 into this build. We started with a good truck that lived it's whole life in the high desert of eastern Oregon.
I made a YouTube video of the truck running, please email me, I'll send it to you, eBay wont let me post it.
MECHANICAL
The motor is a fresh built big block 396. The motor was built for torque, it pulls hard, but very reliable for daily driving on pump gas. Hydraulic no fuss cam, HEI ignition, Milodon deep oil pan, stock exhaust manifolds that don't blow out daily, power steering, Edelbrock 4 barrel and aluminum intake. Dual electric fans 3200 CFM with automatic thermostat, HD radiator. Rebuilt TH-400 automatic transmission with a shift kit. Rebuilt transfer case, rebuilt brakes and booster/master. Front and rear axles completely gone through, they are both open differential to keep good highway manners. Dual exhaust with Flowmaster 50 series mufflers, sounds excellent. 4 in suspension lift lift, 35/12.5/16.5 BFG All Terrains with 90% tread on aluminum wheels. Truck completely re-wired, all gauges working. Decent CD player and speakers.
BODY
We spent a lot of time and money on a PPG metallic paint and clear coat. Wet sanded, it sparkles, the truck is straight. The color is a limited edition 2011 Imperial Camaro blue. New seals, glass, interior, bumpers, grill etc. pretty much the entire truck is new. Chevy rockers and radiator cover from LMC, steps also from LMC. I added the fender flares to help with rock chips, if you don't like them, they come off easy and are attached from the inner fender well so no exterior exposed holes. I'm a trucker, so I had to have the cab lights. Undercarriage coated with POR-15 to prevent any rust from starting, also looks better.
I looked at several 4x4 trucks restored or restorable before I bought this one. Extremely hard to find a 4x4 not beat up or rusted to the ground. This is one of the nicest trucks on the road. Really, if it were any nicer a guy would be afraid to drive it, my intention was not to own a trailer queen. With a few thousand miles and several car shows all over the NW, there may be a very small cosmetic imperfection somewhere, nothing sticks out to me.
I have a clear clean WA state title in hand in my name. I welcome a 3rd party inspection during the auction. I can use my brother's shipping broker or work with your shipper. Non-refundable deposit of $1000 due immediately after auction conclusion via PayPal, the rest within five days. Vehicle or title do not leave my property until cleared payment in full. This is my 1st eBay attempt, I'm more than willing to speak with you over the phone, supply more pictures etc. Thanks for looking.
