Chevrolet C3500 Standard Cab Long Bed Work Truck
I bought this truck in 2015 at Rock Star Used Cars in Temecula, who bought it at an auction with 163,000 miles, so I've put 45,500 miles on it. The original owner bought it new in Victorville. It had US Army stickers on the rear window and rear bumper when I got it, so he was obviously a fellow Army Veteran. There's even the imprint of a Sergeant insignia pin on the headliner above the rear view mirror where he'd stuck it. As far as I can tell, this truck has never left Southern California since it arrived from the factory in Texas.
The truck runs great, and does not drip any oil or coolant.
Registration was paid in February,
but is incomplete as the truck failed Smog.
Getting it to pass will be the BUYER'S responsibility.
Service Engine light is on and I don't know why.
New parts that were installed 2 1/2 years ago to pass Smog:
Distributor cap & rotor. Fuel Injectors.Spark plugs & wires.Rear oxygen sensors.Crankshaft & camshaft position sensors.Thermostat.Fuel filter.New parts that were installed this year:Front oxygen sensors.Fuel pump & sensor module.
New parts that were installed this year:
Front oxygen sensors.Fuel pump & sensor module.
Other new parts that have been installed:
Five Michelin Defender LTX M/S LT245/75R16 tires, the spare has never been used.Interstate battery.Reese V5 trailer hitch.Reese 2" trailer hitch ball on bumper.Top of the line Pep Boys alternator.K & N washable permanent air filter.Bosch windshield wipers.Sylvania premium headlight bulbs.Chrome interior door handles.Chrome tiedowns in stake pockets on bed.LED light bulbs in glovebox, ashtray, dome light, under dash footwells, under the hood and in the gauge cluster.Stainless steel wheel opening moldings.New cigarette lighter socket & lighter.
New OEM parts that are included but have NOT been installed:
Passenger side exterior door handle to replace cracked existing handle.Turn signal, cruise control, headlight dimmer & wiper switch stalk. Current stalk does not cancel left turn signal, replacing stalk will fix this.
The air conditioning quit recently, could possibly just need a recharge, I haven't had it diagnosed.
Truck has minor body damage on passenger side. I was sideswiped by a gardener truck in a hit & run last December, then I sideswiped a Lexus a few days later and did NOT hit & run. There is a crease in the passenger side door as a result, plus other signs on the body of having been scraped, as seen in the photos. The damage does not affect the usability of the truck, so I haven't had it repaired. There are minor dings & paint chips on the exterior, expected on a 20+ year-old work truck.
The interior of the truck bed shows wear from having been used.
The interior of the cab has a hanging and torn headliner, torn seat on the driver side, worn sun visors and cracked dashboard. Rubber DeeZee full-width floormat included. The original Owner's Manual is included, as well as the original Monroney window sticker.
I've considered fixing this truck up and keeping it, but my wife complains that it takes up too much room in our carport. Besides that, I haven't driven it much this year since we've moved into our new smaller home. I've had a lot of fun with the truck, and I'm going to miss it, I'm sure, as it comes in handy when I DO use it.
I'm a cigarette smoker, and I've smoked in this truck.
