Up for auction is my 1961 Chevrolet Corvair convertible.
I have owned for around 6 months and loved every minute of it. Unfortunately, I don't have room for it right now.
- The body is in amazing condition. I think it is actually a fairly new fiberglass body. No meaningful damage that I can see. Some scratches, of course.
- Interior seats are darn near perfect. The vinyl looks brand new. Carpeting is fine. If you were super picky you'd probably want to spend $100 for a new carpet kit, but I think that would be a waste. Vinyl on inside of doors is different color red, but that's also a minor thing
- Motor is strong. If it is warm it turns over immediately. If it is cold or hasn't been driven in a while it needs some starter spray, but that literally takes 3 seconds to apply and you're ready to roll. Occasionally a random oil leak.
- Does not have a convertible top, nor does it have the hardware for one.
- I'm reporting odometer mileage. No clue if it has turned over already.
- Tires are fine. Will probably last you forever unless you make this puppy your daily driver.
- Clean, free and clear title
- Please do not bid if you're not positive you want the car.
- You MUST send a $500 non-refundable deposit via Paypal within 24 hours
- You MUST pay in full via cashiers check within 5 calendar days
- You MUST arrange for pick-up/shipping within 10 days of auction close. I've shipped a lot of cars and can help you.
- I will consider delivering the car personally within 500 miles for a fee of $1.25 per mile.
