Description
This Corvette is extremely rare, the 115th car built and the last of the era's High Compression Muscle Cars.
A knowledgeable auto detailer could carefully clean this Roadster and make it look like a nice used 30k mile Vette would have looked like in the early 70's.
This is a straight, low mile unmolested vehicle.
The car had been stored for years. In 2005 original owners recommissioned vehicle and I purchased.
I took delivery and did not touch anything on the car. I drove her once and prepped for storage.
Has been stored in my heated garage since 2005.
Two weeks ago I fueled her up, installed new battery and LS 5 454 fired fired up perfectly.
I had to replace all calipers and master cylinder but kept the originals. Car is driveable.
This car was represented to me as a 32,000 mile original paint unmolested car.
Our local Corvette Club historian, Jim Petrarca checked numbers and said it could be considered benchmark car.
He noted it has gray shocks and gray rear spring.
Tags still on front springs and shocks, original exhaust, exhaust ground strap intact, motor mounts, fuel pump lines/clamps and vacuum hoses etc.
He could see build sheet through fuel door opening and is available to confer with if you'd to get his input.
I have actual window sticker which is perfectly preserved, protecto plate, bill of sale and misc docs you can see in my photos.
Headlights and wiper door operate fine as do fiber optics. Motor is smooth, no smoke, no noises. Glass and convertible roof are original. Paint has shine.
In my opinion this is a car someone knowledgeable should just clean and detail really well to preserve it's originality.
I'm liquidating most of my collection and marketing this car to someone that can appreciate it's patina and originality.
I think over detailing this car would be a step backwards, but I'm no expert.
