Description
1972 Corvette LT1 350/255hp convertible, Matching #s.
The engine is the rare LT1, matching #s, born with 350 cubic inch motor, with 255 hp, along with the original matching #s M21 4-speed transmission, and original 3.70 posi-rear. It alsohas an AM/FM stereo, white soft top, and very rare Black Vinyl Hard Top in mint shape, which was garaged by the previous owner for 33 years, and never put on the car. This car drives great, and looks great.
This car looks great, as it was just painted last month with the original Steel Cities Gray color in base coat / clear coat, and the front bumpers, rear bumpers and bumperettes were all triple plated chrome and look incredible. Also put on new weather stripping, new emblems, new windshield pillar post moldings, rebuilt carburetor, and new battery. This car has no rust problems at all, with a solid frame and windshield post.
The drive train is 100% original, and matching #s. The engine, transmission, rear end, and carburetor, are all 100% matching #s. I have attached photos of the Engine Pad stamping, as well as the Stamp on the Transmission and Rear End.
The 1972 Corvette LT1 is the most rare of all three years of LT1 Corvettes by % of cars built for each year from 1970 - 1972. The 1972 Corvette LT1 is also the most rare of all LT1 Convertibles.
The 1972 LT1 is the only year of the three year series which Designates the Engine Code in the VIN ( L ) , which eliminates many Fake LT1s which are common for 1970 and 1971.

This car needs nothing to be enjoyed by a new owner. It runs great, the motor is fast and powerful, and the headlight doors and wiper door open andclose perfectly. I am only selling it due to a lack of space, as I justacquired a rare 1967 Corvette, as well as an NCRS restored 1955 Corvette.
I reserve the right to end thislisting at anytime, as this Corvette is listed locally for sale as well. This car is sold in as-is condition.
