Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is offering this 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. She is powered by the LS1 5.7l engine, and the 4L60-E automatic transmission with the standard 3:15 gears. The engine and transmission are original to the car, as you would expect from a car that has under 72,00- miles since it left the factory over 15 years ago. The car is finished in the factory Light Pewter with a black leather interior. Options include air conditioning, AM/FM Bose stereo with 12 disc CD player, active handling, heads up display, performance handling package, cruise control, power seats with lumbar, power brakes, steering, locks, windows and mirrors, anti-lock brakes, traction control, tilt and telescopic wheel, keyless entry, polished alloy wheels. This is a member of the C5 Corvette family that ran from 1997-2004. This was the first car to feature the all-new and legendary LS1 power plant from Chevrolet, which made 345hp in the beginning but was subsequently increased in 2001 to 350hp. It was the perfect blend of reliability, fuel-mileage and drivability, while simultaneously allowing for big power and a great aftermarket scene with a massive amount of performance upgrade options. The C5 is competitive in regards to 0–60 mph acceleration times with almost all premium sports cars of its era, including the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage, and the Ferrari 355.
