Numbers matching motor, transmission and rear end! Motor rebuilt. Transmission rebuilt. 3.08:1, Posi-Track ear end inspected and serviced. Brand new Vintage Air air A/C. This Corvette can be driven across town or across the country. I drove it on the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2019. This vehicle left Saint Paul, Minnesota and proceeded to Concord, North Carolina where the tour started. Seven days and seven cities later, the tour ended in Norwalk, Ohio and I then returned to Saint Paul. Over 50 trouble free hours of driving, well more than 3000 miles in 10 days. I was ready to run the 2020 tour but it was canceled. This Corvette is ready for the open road and will take you wherever you need to go.
ENGINE: The VIN numbers matching motor was rebuilt by a Corvette tech. The horsepower was upgraded significantly to around 350. Fast burn aluminum heads, roller cam, aluminum intake, double pumper carburetor, new MSD ignition system and ceramic coated headers. This motor still looks spotless. The ignition shielding is complete. The belts, hoses, fan, fan shroud, radiator, wiper motor, alternator and starter are all new.
EXTERIOR: It is the factory color, medium red. It has some minor nicks and touch ups but overall the body has no damage. The paint is polished and is smooth and glossy. Convertible top is new. Headlights function properly up and down with new vacuum actuators.
INTERIOR: Upholstery is in good shape. New door cards. New steering wheel. The dash pad is nice with no cracks. Carpets look great front and rear. Power windows. New Vintage Air A/C system at a cost of $4000.
DRIVETRAIN & SUSPENSION: The turbo 400 automatic transmission was rebuilt. The 3.08 posi rear was inspected and serviced. New exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. New control arm bushings, sway bar bushings and shocks. Rear springs and shocks replaced. New disc brakes front and rear. New spare tire and spare carrier assembly is complete. I have the complete power steering system to go with the car but it is currently manual.
Come take a look, you won't be disappointed. The birdcage which is the entire metal frame that surrounds the passenger cabin and the chassis were inspected by a Corvette technician during my pre-purchase inspection and showed no corrosion or damage. Although the Corvette resides in Minnesota it is stored during winter and has never seen MN salted roads. I am very near the Minneapolis-Saint Paul airport (MSP). Feel free to fly in and drive it home no matter where you live, this Corvette is ready for a road trip of ANY length.
