Description

1977 Chevy Corvette
T-Top Coupe

VIN: 1Z37L7S406184

NO RESERVE past the opening bid

I’m often asked where we find these well-kept collectable cars. My best friend cruises parking lots of retirement homes, Elks clubs, the V.F.W hall and the back alleys of a well-known Scandinavian neighborhood here in Seattle. He can spot a seatbelt slammed in a car door a mile away… He even notices when a car or truck is driving down the road with a turn signal on just a little too long and he positively twitches with glee when passing a rig with metal bumpers, especially if it’s a muscle car!

If you’re in the market for a great driving, well-kept, vintage daily driver, please give this T-Top Vette your kind attention. You’re also welcome to contact me with questions or to discuss a sale before the end of the Ebay listing. My name is Mark, and I can be reached at 206/914-1173
For those interested, here’s how the VIN Code breaks down:
1 = Chevrolet
Z = Corvette
37 = Coupe
L = 350 CID V8 w/180 HP
7 = 1977 Model Year
S = St. Louis Assembly Plant
406,184 = Consecutive ID Number

CONDITION:

The photos really tell the Corvette’s story (all were taken on 7/28/2021). According to the previous owner, it’s always been here in western Washington State. I take pride in the vehicles offered here on Ebay and feel you should know as much about them as possible. Accordingly, here’s a list of the good and also one or two small tasks needed:
The first question I’m always asked is about rust. Of course, as a fiberglass-bodied rig this classic cruiser is IMMUNE to rust, and you won’t find any here to worry about in the frame either. Yes, the Puget Sound region gets its share of drizzle, but rarely any snow so our winter roads are not salted. One snowflake and everyone stays home. I’m told this is vehicle has not seen a winter road in more than six years! Climb over, under and throughout; I know you’ll come up smiling! The paint has been resprayed to the factory color sometime in the past. I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10 with NO scratches or front-end rock chips nor are there any cracks or dings in the glass. During spring and summer cruising, the T-Tops take only a minute or so to remove and stow in the included factory storage bags. I believe they fit in the area behind the seats.
One turn of the key and the strong 350 cubic-inch V8 fires right up with just a few pumps of the gas pedal, even when cold. A nice Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake upgrade is fed by a recently upgraded Edelbrock 750 CFM Street Performance carburetor. The Turbo 400 automatic transmission shifts just like it should with NO slippage. Of course, power steering and disk brakes are here, too.
Take another look at my interior pics. The carpet, door panels, seat fabric & vinyl are in particularly good condition as shown. There are no cracks in the factory dash cover. I’m also quite impressed with the gauges. They’re still as clear and bright as the day this rig left the St. Louis Assembly Plant. All work with the exception of the temp. meter. The power passenger window is also finicky going up and down. While the lock button and pull handle are missing from the driver’s door panel, I have them on order and will be sure both get to the next caretaker, hopefully before the car leaves my warehouse.
I’ve always really liked the look of GM wheels with deep chrome trim rings and “top hat” center caps on Chevy muscle cars. Here they’re wrapped with new 100% 215/65R15 T/A radials on the front and 225/60R15’s out back with about 80% rubber.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions and BID WITH CONFIDENCE, knowing that you are purchasing a nice vehicle from a respected Ebay Seller. My goal is to be sure you’re happy with this purchase - and your dealings with me – with the hope that you might be back again for another collector car.
Because of the amount of money involved, I require that new Ebay members with a feedback history of five or fewer transactions call or email before placing a bid. If I don’t have this initial contact, your bid may be cancelled. As I’ve outlined above, the phone number to talk directly is 206/914-1173. My name is MARK. You’re welcome to call any time during the auction. You’re welcome and encouraged to inspect & drive the Vette (or have an inspection service to so for you). Also consider making an offer as many of my vehicles sell to smart “early birds” that call and work out a deal prior to the auction’s end. I always reserve the right to sell during this period.
A Few Additional Terms and Conditions:
The entire purchase price is due by cash (in-person only), a wire transfer or other certified funds within seven days of the auction closing. I can accept credit/debit cards but will first need to send an invoice from our card processor and will add the 3.25% fee charged by them to the total. Please remember you’re bidding to buy, and I fully expect the winning bidder to fulfill their Ebay contract! You are not bidding to hold or then come inspect and test-drive the Corvette later -- You’re more than welcome to do this before the auction ends.
If you decide to have the car shipped home, there are many vehicle transport companies to choose from. While delivery and the company chosen are the responsibility of the BUYER, I ship cars and trucks regularly and have access to the nationwide Central Dispatch System. We can check to see what typical delivery costs have been to your area recently and can then post a transport offer for the vehicle at a fair price. Usually, a shipper is lined up within just a few days. You’ll pay the transporter COD when they arrive with the car. No upfront deposit or other hassles.
The Corvette can be stored free of charge at my location for up to two weeks after the auction ends assuming full payment has been received. After that period storage is $20 per day.
Final Note: I list and sell my vehicles exclusively here on Ebay. If you see them advertised "For Sale" on other sites BEWARE: you are being scammed. We've recently come across more than a dozen of our past auction vehicles (with my Ebay pics and descriptions lifted verbatim) on the scam site "Classic Cars for Sale" also coming up as as "TOPCLASSICSALE.COM". If enough folks complain, perhaps we can get these offshore thieves stopped!
