7665 original miles. 3ZR option package, chrome wheels, Crystal Red paint. Museum Delivery car with build book. Never raced or abused, never even wet! Properly maintained and stored, fully operational, and insanely fast. Still the one to own!
When Chevy reintroduced the ZR1, they knew it couldn’t just be another badges and stripes special. No, wearing the ZR1 badges meant there had to be something truly unique under the hood. In response, GM engineers pulled out all the stops with the LS9 V8, adding a supercharger and all the Z06’s track-ready hardware, creating one of the most remarkable Corvettes ever built. There are some that are faster and have incrementally more power, but none of recreated the sheer audacity of the C6 ZR1. This is a truly special car.
Making it more special is the fact that it was ordered by an enthusiast who knew that it would be a future collectable. As a result, he specified the top 3ZR option package, chrome wheels, and the extra-cost Crystal Red Metallic paint, which by itself was $850. The car has never even been wet, never mind used as a daily driver, and presents today in nearly new condition. The paint is outstanding with only a few nearly invisible marks on the lower chin that are a natural result of driving this car in the real world. Nothing notable, mind you, just something you’d probably pick up on the way home from the dealer. The C6 bodywork has aged very well and the ZR1’s distinctive carbon fiber hood, front fenders, and ground effects make it look long, low and mean (in fact, it’s so low that it can’t get onto our lifts, so there are no chassis photos—sorry!). There are multiple vents and scoops on the bodywork, and most of them are functional to cool everything from the oil to the rear differential, and the roof is fixed in place to ensure that massive motor doesn’t twist it into a pretzel. The highest praise we can offer a car is that it is like new, and this car certainly qualifies.
The 3ZR package included a lot of interior upgrades such as the heated leather seats with perforated inserts, the navigation system, and a lot less plastic than lesser Corvettes. It’s a great place to do some serious work. Instrumentation is big and easy to read, the secondary controls are at your fingertips, and the fat leather-wrapped wheel feels great in your hands. The in-dash navigation system is combined with the killer Bose stereo system, although if you’re worried about the radio you’re probably not using your ZR1 correctly. Carbon fiber and leather covers most of the dash and instrument panel, making this car feel significantly less cheap than other ‘Vettes. Nice! The 6-speed snaps through the gears and clutch action is light—this isn’t a ‘60s muscle car, after all. There’s even reasonable storage space behind the seats, and a cargo net and cover are included.
The heart of the ZR1 is the 6.2 liter LS9 V8. Supercharged and intercooled, it grunts out 638 horsepower and 604 lb-ft. of torque. But the remarkable thing isn’t that it’s fast enough to make your eyeballs bounce off the inside of your skull, it’s that it’s so incredibly civilized. It starts easily, idles smoothly, and if you keep your foot out of it, drives like a rental car. Keep the traction control on if you’re in traffic, and if you’re skilled enough to run without it, you’ll find that this car delivers an experience akin to those guys in the ‘50s who were strapped to rocket sleds. The thing is just OUTRAGEOUS. The blower makes cool noises and it offers cool tech like dry sump oiling, a separate radiator just for the supercharger, and an aluminum frame to keep weight to a minimum. In fact, despite all the extra go-fast hardware, this car is no heavier than a standard Corvette—nice! The dual mode exhaust can be tuned to taste and the ZR1 came standard with those spectacular carbon-ceramic brakes that are completely fade-proof in the real world. The chrome wheels were unique to the ZR1 and carry massive 285/30/19 front and 335/25/20 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires with plenty of life left in them.
Documentation is, of course, extensive. This car comes with the original window sticker and build sheet, original manuals and books, and some Corvette brochures from 2010. It also includes a detailed photo album of its construction showing it going down the Bowling Green assembly line—all part of the Museum Delivery package. It also includes a full set of factory service manuals still new in the box.
Look at the market for these cars—they’re special. Later cars had more horsepower, but they can’t match the C6 ZR1 for sheer audacity. This car is virtually new in every way that matters, is loaded with all the desirable options, and has been maintained from day one by a passionate enthusiast. For investment-grade late-model Corvettes, it just doesn’t get any better than this. Call today!

This car is virtually new in every way that matters, is loaded with all the desirable options, and has been maintained from day one by a passionate enthusiast. For investment-grade late-model Corvettes, it just doesn’t get any better than this. Call today!
Harwood Motors always recommends and welcomes personal or professional inspections of any vehicle in our inventory prior to purchase.
