Gateway Classic Cars is proud to show this 1998 Chevrolet Corvette Pace Car! This is car number 215 out of 616 automatic pace cars produced! With just over 1,500 actual miles on the odometer (supported by the Carfax) this is almost as good as it gets!
General Motors launched the C5 Corvette in 1997 and it was a near complete redesign from the outgoing C4 Corvette. Helping set the stage for the new generation were these limited edition pace cars. They came in rocking purple (Radar Blue Metallic) paint and 5 spoke aluminum wheels painted yellow! Have you ever wanted to own a car that looked like your hot wheels? Here's your chance! This car is as close to new as you can get 23 years after it rolled off the assembly line. The mileage is so incredibly low and looking at the car it is hard to fault it in any way. For performance these this bad boy has a LS1 V8 engine rated at 345 horsepower with Indy Pace Car Package and a 4 speed o/d automatic transmission. This combination has been put in thousands upon thousands of GM vehicles and reliability has proved to be very good, even if modified. AVAILABILITY: We advertise our inventory across multiple websites. It is best practice to inquire about the advertised vehicle prior to purchasing in order confirm that it was not already sold. Vehicles may be sold prior to its eBay advertising ending, and we reserve the right to end advertising/listing early or to cancel any and all bids/offers solely at our discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation. In the event that a bidder has the winning bid or finalizes the buy it now price, but did not check availability and the vehicle was sold before a deposit and contracts were executed, then we are not liable nor responsible.
AS-IS WHERE-IS: All vehicles are sold on an AS-IS WHERE-IS basis. Having a third party inspection and addressing any concerns is recommended prior to purchase. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to verify all advertisements which shall include but not limited to options, accessories, and vehicle condition before time of sale. PAYMENT: We require a non-refundable $1,000 deposit within 24 hours of offer being placed. A deposit is a commitment to purchase and is applied towards the purchase price. The commitment to purchase is not contingent upon inspection, financing, or any other terms or conditions.
We require full payment within 7 days of offer acceptance, unless other arrangements are agreed to in writing.
If the deposit and/or full payment are not provided within said time frame, all vehicles will be relisted and transaction will be considered null and void.
We accept wire transfer (preferred), cashier's check, personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears), ACH, credit cards (for the agreed deposit amount only and will incur a 3% fee), and in person cash payments. We also offer vehicle financing, please inquire for details prior to making bids/offers. PayPal and American Express is not accepted.
VEHICLE RELEASE: Signed purchase packet which shall include but not limited to the purchase contract, cleared payment in full, and a copy of your driver's license will be needed before the vehicle is released.
Fees and Taxes
All finalized transactions will have additional charges if applicable which could include the following: sales tax, title fees, license & registration fees, and other additional government or licensing agency charges to register the vehicle. The purchaser is responsible for these charges.
The advertised price and winning auction bids shall include a document fee of $149.73.
