Description
Hi,
I am selling this 1985 Corvette project car with a clean Floridatitle. The car runs good and goes down the road ok but is definitely not adaily driver without a full weekend of work. Tune up, fluids changed, etc. I got this car in a trade deal, it had satfor many years outside and had not run in about 6 months. I had to pull thetank, drain it, replace the fuel pump, the filter, blow out the lines, cleanthe injectors and after that it ran well. Also replaced the drivers side windowregulator, that is why the door panel is off. Car was originally a light or baby blue. Alsothe hood is not original to the car. It does not look like it has every been ina wreck so not sure why it has this hood but it looks like its been on it awhile. If you tune it up, change all the fluids, paint it and change the tiresyou would have a pretty cool daily for cheap. I was going to restore it myselfbut I have way too many projects at the moment. If you have an automotive YouTubechannel and want some great content you can buy it and road trip it back towhere you live for some excitement! Thiscar sounds Badass! It had muffler delete with resonators, so it sounds unlikeany Vette I have ever heard. It has a350TPI with auto transmission. It has a chip and a strait air intake andpossibly more done to it but I don’t know the history. It feels fast as hellbut all these cars did but never were. I will try to be as honest as possiblewith what the car needs below. As youcan see it does not need anything major but definitely some TLC. I am quite sure the mileage is not original but the odometer does work.
The good:
The body is very strait with only a few scuffs andscratches.
The engine runs strong, transmission shifts well, no Checkengine lights.
Seems to go down the road well with no weird pulling or clunks.
Seats are in very good shape as is the carpet.
All glass is good.
Windows go up and down.
Brakes work well.
AC is all hooked up and will take a charge but has a slowleak.
Car comes with some extra wheels and parts.
The Not so good…..
The dash is crap, as is the plastic inside, someone put thatwood crap on and it left glue that I cannot get off.
The instrument cluster displays the speed and the RPM’s butthat is it, no other functions so it will need to be rebuilt or replaced.
The door panels are not in great shape.
The steering column has play in it side to side, but itcomes with a good replacement.
The cable for the hood release snapped off so I removed the latchpins so it would not get stuck down. That is why the hood gap at the doors isnot perfect. It is good when the latchesare installed.
The power steering works but it is stiff, this may be fromlack of use for a while, or it could be low on fluid. Have not checked it yet.
One headlight does not pop up.
There is no hood prop installed however I do have one.
